Description of 1967 Fiat Dino

TheFiat Dino(Type 135) was afront-engine, rear-wheel-drivesports carproduced byFiatfrom 1966 to 1973. The Dino name refers to theFerrari DinoV6 engine, produced by Fiat and installed on the cars to achieve the production numbers sufficient for Ferrari tohomologatethe engine forFormula 2racing.The car was offered with an all-aluminiumDOHC2.0L V6, coupled to a 5-speedmanual transmission. The same 2.0-litre engine was used in mid-engined, Ferrari-builtDino 206 GT, which was introduced in pre-production form at the 1967 Turin Motor Show and went on sale in 1968. This is an early production (# 48) Fiat Dino copue with the original matching numbers Ferrari 2.0L V6 engine and matching transmission (see pics for plate and engine number). This is a solid project. Not running. The engine bay is complete. The engine turns and transmission shifts through gears. Steers, brakes and rolls. The original color seems to be silver. The body is complete with rust all around (all restorable) and the paint is cracked and faded. Floors are solid. Nothing bad and restorable. Frame is solid. The doors open and close. The interior is in bad shape but can be salvaged and restored. All glass is good. The wheels are in good shape. Tires are old.Clean NJ title.
