Description of 1952 Fiat Other BLT

This Fiat 1100 BLT is an Italian-market taxi which was reportedly built in 1948 and purchased by the seller's uncle in the 1970s for use in the family business. The car was refurbished inred black over orange cloth before being imported into the US in the early 1980s, and power is from a replacement 1.1-liter inline-four paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. An oil change was reportedly carried out in March 2019. This 1100 is offered by the seller on behalf of his uncle with transferable New York registration listing it as a 1952 model.

The 1100 BLT rode on an extended wheelbase and featured rear quarter windows when compared to the standard 1100B. This example wears red and black paint with yellow pinstripes which was reportedly appliedin Italy in the early 1980s. The seller notes finish failure on the roof and other areas. 15″ steel wheels wear peeling body-colored centers, black lips, Fiat hubcaps, and CEAT SevenD tires. A full-size spare is equipped out back along with a luggage rack.

The taxi features a partition between the driver and passenger compartments, both of which are trimmed in orange cloth with matching door panels. Theodometeris said to show 87k kilometers (~54k miles), 10k of which were added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.

The rear passenger area features two jump seats that fold flat into the floor. Access to the battery is located beneath the rear carpets.

The replacement 1.1-liter inline-four was reportedly installed in the 1980s and is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission.
