Description of 1986 Fiat Other

Here is my fantastic fuel injected power windows ’86 Bertone X1/9 for sale. FRESH PAINT JOB is done in a Range Rover color: Barolo Black Pearl with clearcoat. Not a show car (driver). but looks great from a short distance away and color is awesome in the sunlight. Could still be wetsanded/buffed to look the best up close. *I will get better pictures up soon! Car has a clear Utah title. I have invested a lot of time over the past 2 years. the car is a great runner/driver. I bought this car with no transmission. I installed the 5-speed that came out of my ’79 project X. Shifts ok with no grinding. All latches. handles. keys. power windows. heat/vents. removable top. etc work fine now. 138. 00 miles on the engine/body. These final Bertone 1. 5L fuel injected cars are RARE compared to the earlier carb’d X1/9’s. Here’s a list of some of the brand NEW parts: speedo cable. nbsp; ignition switch. nbsp; heater control valve. nbsp; fuel pump/filter/hoses. 4 professionally re-manufactured brake calipers & turned rotors. newer tires. transmission axle seals. clutch master cylinder. timing belt & idler pulley (2. 00 miles). 2 motor mounts. Newer Battery. recent cap/rotor. brand new spark plugs and Bosch wires. This car went through use before I got it (its 28 years old now). there had been some previous rust repair. but nothing major and nothing that should be an issue. it is structurally sound. Under the driver’s carpet (some carpet wear there) a steel patch panel has been added covering a hole that was a couple inches in diameter. Everything has been coated and sealed. no previous rust on the car is continuing cancer. Engine runs fantastic- all the way to redline. has good compression. It can be slightly smoky on first startup after its been sitting for a few days- but that clears right up and it has no issues! Under regular use. I’ve seen the slightest of oil drips. like a single drop on the ground just sometimes after it is run then parked. I’ve watched it pass Salt Lake City emissions twice. Clutch is ok (doesn’t slip). throw-out-bearing makes a light whine sometimes which goes away if you depress the clutch pedal. (an entire new clutch kit can be had from Midwest Bayless for only $145) Windshield has a crack which is not in front of the driver's view. and 2 rock chips. Gas gauge used to work fine and recently stopped. but low fuel light still works. Needs a new factory headlight switch for the pop-ups to go up/down on their own. but the pop-up motors work fine (crank them down by hand. and they pop right up when you flip the current headlight on/off switch). Car gets close to 25mpg. Front and rear U. S. bumpers have been eliminated (I have a U. S. front bumper on my ’79 I will include with the sale if the buyer wants it). I also have a factory chrome luggage rack [‘79]which goes over the rear trunk compartment if the buyer wants to have it (holes have to be drilled. gets bolted on). Removable top stores right in the nose of the car. latches work fine. There is a custom sub enclosure behind the passenger seat (factory spare tire compartment) which has a 8” speaker in it currently that’s not hooked up. right now only small door speakers are wired into the Panasonic CD player. I want to be fully up-front about my history with the car and its current condition! Feel free to ask any questions. I run my own shop. I have my other ’79 X1/9 and a ‘77 Lancia Scorpion (close relative) which are non-running projects I bought both of those before I bought this one 3rd. I love them all and I LOVE to drive this one. but I must thin the herd. I work on many vehicles but my favorite are European and Japanese. I want to sell this X to a Fiat/Lancia enthusiast/car tinkerer/someone who will love this car! May sell locally outside of eBay. $100 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. full payment due within 7 days. I have put thousands of miles on this car. and personally would feel safe driving it anywhere. I will help out either picking up the buyer at the Salt Lake City airport. or working with the shipping company that buyer arranges.
