Description of 1982 Fiat Other

Here is a very nice older restoration of a 1982 Fiat 124 Spider 2000 Pininfarina Turbo Convertible. In 1982-82. 700 of these were built by Legend. The Body is very good to excellent and always stored inside. From what I can research it has mainly been a California and Arizona car. This one belonged to the Late Jim Fierst well know pioneer in the Fiat community and also developer of the WHOA brake system. He painstakingly rebuilt the Turbo with a Garrett T3 Turbo charger with 48/42 trim and adjustable waste gate set @7psi boost. Engine was totally overhauled for the turbo with no expense spared. Only 15+ thousand miles since it was built/ restored 10+ years ago. Jim documented every step of rebuild and restoration in three inch binders. Also comes with manuals etc. The engine has had the rotating mass balanced with ported cylinder head with IAP stainless steel valves installed. Lightened balance flywheel. Stock electronic ignition unit. Extra cooling added. I replaced all fuel injectors. Over $14. oo in receipt for the work done and most of the labor by Jim Fierst. Some more goodies are aftermarket turbo manifold. magnaflow muffler. Nardi steering wheel. newer 15” wheels with almost new tires. shorten shifter and comes with fiber glass black vinyl hard top. IAP RED springs with yellow Koni shocks suspension. A lot more I know I’m forgetting. This is a poor man’s Ferrari and was designed by Pininfarina. The color is original Grigio Fumo Metalic with black interior. I think it has only one repaint. Please. ask any question I will get back ASAP but not always available. It runs very well with no major problems. It could be set-up to go faster by it is fine for me. I’m a 60+ gentleman and have enjoyed this Spider much more than the other four I have owned. Titled as a classic vehicle. The Buy it Now price is very fair for this class of car. The bad: It is a 20 footer. Still looks good and turns heads. Paint shines but has touch ups left front fender and rear left quarter panel. Needs a good detailer. The top is still good with a fairly clear window. Could use updated but still very usable. Nice driver and for small shows. No real disappointments but it is a used car with wear and paint chips etc.
