Description of 1971 Ford F-350

Don't just go to the show.....BE the show!!!Just in time for Monterey!! Load up your Shelby, obra, r other vintage race or muscle car, nd arrive in style! This thing gets the looks!!!Starting life as a 1971 F350 1-ton cab/chassis, nd immediately converted to a car hauler by a San Jose-based drag race team. Next 2 owner (both still in Northern California) hauled their 1968 Ford Mustang, 985 Mustang, nd 1968 AMC Javelin Trans Am race cars to various West coast Trans Am races back in the day. This truck has some history!!Bought it in 2005 from the 3rd owner, nd undertook a complete cab-off restoration. The cab was completely removed, isassembled, oda blasted, nd repainted Wimbledon White inside and out. The engine and transmission were also removed, long with the steering and front suspension. Then the hauler bed was also soda blasted and painted white.Then the entire truck was reassembled with all new rubber seals. The following items were also done: Transmission re-sealed, ngine head gaskets, il pan, iming chain, ntake manifold and carburetor replaced with brand new. Starter, lternator, adiator, teering box, nd power disc brake booster all professionally rebuilt. New exhaust system. New bushings, earing, nd brake pads up front.For the interior, he dash pad, oor seals, arpet, hreshold plates, oor panels, nd instrument bezel were all replaced with new. The original AM radio was professionally rebuilt. The original Original FoMoCo stainless steel camper mirrors were completely refurbished. All the exterior running lights and cab roof lights were replaced. Starts and drives beautifully.The hauler bed features 6 locking side storage compartments, below-bed storage area for the 8-foot ramps, large in-bed storage bay (originally used to carry a spare motor), nd a car loading winch. Used sparingly last 10 years to carry various vintage race cars to area races and car shows.The most recent items are a new battery, new rear tires (on chrome rims all around, nd a brand new clutch (with less than 100 miles). The engine was rebuilt prior to our purchase with about 10k miles then. It is the original 360, ut slightlyoverbored andwith a 390 crank, ow making approx. 400 c.i.The intake is a new Edelbrock dual plane aluminum, nd the carb is a new Holley 600cf. 4bbl with manual choke.The ignition utilizes an Accel spark box and is otherwise stock.
The 4 speed transmission is a Dana with a "granny" first gear.
The truck overall length is 28.5 ft. The bed is 19.5 ft. and 80" wide. The wheelbase is 220". The rear overhang (from rear axlecenterline) is 7.5 ft.
