Description of 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Engine

The original numbers matching VIN stamped C8FE block with main caps is included and mounted on a rolling stand... it has been hot tanked, agna fluxed, nd is in perfect condition retaining its standard 4.0 bore. The engine in the car is a freshly rebuilt D0ZE correct Boss 302 service block. The engine was rebuilt to stock specs during the restoration at .30 over, ully balanced, ew cam and valves, RP hardware, ebuilt water pump, ew oil pump, ebuilt date correct Carter X fuel pump, tc. Carburetor is the correct Holley 780 cfm with correct date code. Correct exhaust manifolds, ntake, mog system, ir cleaner assy., nd new date coded AMK alternator are all installed.

Transmission

This is the original close-ratio Toploader with the VIN stamped on the casing. It was completely rebuilt during the restoration and the correct and rebuilt 4-speed shifter assy. is installed. For those who know how difficult these are to come by, functioning NOS reverse switch and lower shift boot were also installed.

Rear Axle

Original 9-inch axel was completely rebuilt along with the rear brakes. The car was originally built with a 3.91 rear ratio, ut it currently has a 3.50. The correct 3.91 ring and pinion, peedo reducer, nd a NOS correct speedometer cable are boxed and all included.

Suspension

NOS upper and lower control arms were installed during the restoration, long with brand new Koni shocks front and rear, ew brakes. The front brakes had new rotors pressed onto the original inner hats, hus retaining the original spindles instead of converting to 1970 parts. New stainless brake lines were installed throughout. Although the inner and outer tie rods are after market, hey are brand new. Steering box is correct and was rebuilt. Wheels are original and date coded argent centered Magnum 500's that were trued and re-chromed. Rear springs were separated, edia blasted, ainted, nd installed with new bushings. Front springs currently on the car are lowered aftermarket, ut original springs are included.

Interior

Carpet, eat covers, ash (Ford tooling), ead liner, ail panels are aftermarket but all new and professionally installed. All chromed metal; including knobs, ezels, isor brackets, nd dome lights were re-chromed. Everything else was reconditioned and correctly repainted.

Body

Body was completely media blasted with little rust discovered and restored on a rotisserie. Panels replaced were; left rear quarter, oth rear inner front fender panels (where hood hinges are attached), ight front inner fender panel (battery mount), nd small patches for the drivers and passengers floor. Paint is show quality and all black-out areas are correct. Again, ery little rust was discovered. Considering the car was sold new in Arizona and ended up in California explains why.

General info

This car has less than 2000 miles on a complete ground-up rotisserie restoration in 2003. Great expense was made to bring this classic back to original condition. If NOS parts were available the money was spent. Although it was restored with the intention to drive, t is very show worthy. The list of parts that are new NOS, e-chromed, r reconditioned is endless. All I can say is not a single part on this car went untouched and AMK hardware was used throughout the entire car. It is truly a brand new 1969 Boss 302. Some additional items not mentioned: new stainless fuel lines, ew Carlite windshield, ew NOS fuel tank and sender unit, nd new NOS front bumper. The original build sheet, arti report, nd Eminger report are included, long with miscellaneous ads, hop Tips, onald Farr's Boss book, nd tons of pictures, eceipts, nd documentation.
