Description of 1979 Ford F-100 Ranger

It takes amazing paint, throaty exhaust, r plenty of chrome to turn heads when going down the street. So what do you do with a 1979 Ford F100 Ranger, ow about all three? The time and money that went into this truck build is shown in its extremely high quality!Ford put everything they had into the F100 for 1979. This was the last year for the highly stylized chrome accents on their upper level trim lines like the Ranger. On a truck like this, right strips help to serve as a guide to demonstrate how straight the bodylines are. But what everybody will notice is the paint is so sharp, nd so red, t looks like a fire engine. It was repainted the original T-code color a few years ago, ut the shine and the quality is better than anything that came from the factory. Another one of the subtle changes that makes all the difference is this growling beast has a lowered suspension for an aggressive stance, ighlighted by ninth generation F-150 model chrome wheels. Despite all this hot rod appearance, his Ford is still a pickup to its core. That's why the rear chrome bumper still has its trailer hitch, nd the bed has been sprayed with the tough black liner. The rear tonneau cover is great for keeping the weather out of the truck bed, s well as improving the aerodynamics. Inside someone has gone to great lengths to keep this red looking factory fresh. The dash, arpet, oor panel, nd headliner all match the exterior in a shade that is usually seen in an aggressive sports car. An especially nice touch is the seat. Made in durable vinyl in the high-wear spots, nd comfortable cloth where you sit, t couldn't be nicer. Also upgraded is a matching center console that includes cup holders. The Ranger trim level means this one also has nice wood accents, nd add some highly desirable options like air conditioning, ower steering, nd an upgraded sports wheel, nd you have a winner. While all of this keeps this premium pickup looking highly original, ne very welcomed modern upgrade is AM/FM/CD stereo w/remote so that this 70s classic can play more than just disco.A truck that looks this mean has to have the heart to back it up. Under the hood is a Ford Racing Boss 347 cubic-inch V8 that's so fresh its got only 2,000 miles since it was installed (check out all the included restoration photos to see more of this beast). But the upgrades don't stop there. The motor is connected to Hooker headers, ual exhaust, nd Hooker performance mufflers. The result is not only a street-eating sound, ut also a dyno-backed 440 horsepower. To make sure all of this power meets the road, t is connected to Ford's dependable C4 three-speed automatic transmission, nd a Dania 44 rear end. As much as this truck was built to take on muscle cars, here's an everyday practical side, oo. It has power brakes with discs up front, 5-inch Mesa truck tires, nd a 2.63 rear end for good highway cruising. This F100 has all the candy apple and chrome that is beloved at car shows, ut it also can pull tough truck duty. Plus, t has a great original personality that is true right down to the warranty card and owners manual. It's this kind of great two-trucks-in-one feeling that we know will go quickly. Don't wait, all today!!
