Description of 1972 Ford F-100

Up for sale is a really nice 1972 F100 shortbedRanger. This unrestored 90k actual mile beauty has had an easy life, arage kept for much of it.It's had one older repaint in its original Scandia metallic green and winter green two tone. The original 302 v8 3 speed on the column runs like a top and drives like new. Cruise it as a beautiful survivor, ower it and have a killer shop truck, r take the short path to a 100 point show truck, ither way this truck is worthy and ready! I will describe each area of the truck below as completely and honestly as possible and include lots of pictures of the good and bad. Real world reserve is well below 8k! Good luck bidding and thanks for looking! We call the truck "Merle".

Exterior: Older repaint is shiny and straight as an arrow, he truck was faded and required little to no body filler. The paint does have a few chips, nd a small bubblingplace in front of the back bumper (passenger side) as seen in pictures. There is no rust through on the body. The bed has an older texture or rhino-ish coating inside. There are a few pinholes in the bed floor near the sides. The bed is super solid and straight, othese are minor and not structural. The largest hole is shown in one picture compared to a key for size reference. I am picky and try to point out the defects though they are minor. The stainless trim and chrome is all good, traight and nice. There area few scratches on the bumpers of course. The glass is all in excellent shape. The original wheels are in great shape as are the original hubcaps and trim rings. The tireshave about80 percent tread on rear, 0 percent on front.

Interior : The floor mat is like new and thefloors are in great shape. One floor support has rust on each end but is structurally fine. The cab mounts are nice. The seat is original black cloth, o rips or tears. The springs are firm. The cloth may have a little bit of fade to the color, ut I can't be sure. The headliner and visors are perfect and the door panels are nice! The cassette stereo is not original but THEDASH IS NOT CUT!! The steering wheel looks appropriate but is not original. The dash pad is perfect. The horn does not work.

Motor : The 90 k original mile numbers matching 302 v8 is unmodified, lean, ell maintained its entire life and runs wonderfully. Not sure how old the exhaust is but it is stock type and almost silent!

Drivetrain : 3 speed on column shifts smooth and clutch feels great as do the brakes. The steering is as good as a 1972 F100 ever was with very little play at all in the manual steering.

Chassis : very clean underneath, ne dime size place in passenger rocker under truck (cannot be seen unless underneath). The truck rides great. This truckis tight and right! This truck was never a farm truck and it shows underneath. There are no leaks etc. Expect some surface rust and dirt but it is obvious how nice this truck is from underneath!

This truck is not perfect, ut it's as nice as any unrestored F100 I have seen. It has that rattle free clunk when the door closes you only find in a cared for, ow mile survivor.

This truck is located in Lexington, entucky and is also for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I do require the winning bidder to pay a 500 dollar deposit within 24 hours of winning the auction, ith the balance duein cash at time of pickup. Thanks again for looking and good luck bidding on this pretty old piece of history.
