Description of 1953 Ford

This is a customized 1953 Ford Sunliner convertible. The headlights have been frenched and the grill opening has been modified as seen in the pictures. A 1957 Buick grill was cut down and reshaped to fit the modified opening. The front bumper was sectioned to more tightly fit the body lines of the car. The hood corners were rounded with matching mods to the body. The radio antenna has been frenched in. The door handles have been shaved along with all side trim and hood and deck emblems. The car has power windows that are operated by switches on the front doors and also by keyfob remote to gain access when the car is closed up. The top is hydraulically operated. The paint on this car is very slick but can't be described as show quality because this car driven, o there are little gravel chips and the like but you have to look closely to see most of them. The rear bumper has signs of the chrome peeling where the hidden mount bolts were overtightened. The seats are original and have been rebuilt and covered in red ultraleather. The seats are very comfortable. The front suspension on this car is from a 1979 Trans Am which is basically Camaro but with a largersway bar. This was done as a clip by me, ery carefully, o make sure it was straight and safe. I used multiple layers of gusset plates when attaching the clip to the frame. I was building this car for me and my family to ride in so I wanted it RIGHT! This gives the car power steering and power disc brakes. It drives straight and stops really well! It's actually a very pleasant car to drive. Theinstument cluster was rebuilt and updated to work with the late model engine with all the gauges working except that the odometer stopped at 999.9 miles for some reason. It has heat and air conditioning along with an AM/FM radio with CD player and aniPod input with front and rear speakers. The car is powered by a Chevrolet 383 stroker motor with Tuned Port fuel injection. The car starts easily and runs STRONG. It has a turbo 350 transmission. Therearend is 9" Ford. I have had this car for almost 30 years. It has been a long term, abor of love, roject that wasinterrupted many times due to raising the kids, ending them to college, everal moves and home building projects, tc, tc, tc. I have just recently finally finished it and realized I enjoy building and tinkering with cars more than I enjoy having a finished car. I find myself wanting to build a 1955 Chevrolet 2 door wagon next. I'm trying to retire and really don't have the money to just put this car away and start another so here I am on ebay. This is an awesome car, f you don't like to work on cars, his ones for you! The VIN Number is not listed above because the car was built before 1981 obviously! The VIN # B3DG149129
