Description of 1968 Ford Mustang GT clone

PLEASE READ: This Mustang isa COUPE whichhas beenmodified into a fastback. Please contact me before biddingif you do not understand what this means.

Clicklink to see the process: (This isNOT a video of the car I'm selling, t isjust an example of the extensive work involved)

http://www.powernationtv.com/episode/DM2014-12/plain-pony-to-fastback

As talked about in the video, his conversion process is common for high end builds like Eleanor and Shelby clones. The car I'm selling isNOT a Shelby or Eleanor.

1968 Mustang coupe/fastback conversion. GT clone (Parts from a GT have been put on this car) It is NOT a real GT.
The car accelerates quickly, ith SVO aluminum heads and roller cam with an est. 330+ HP it pulls hard and will chirp the tires into second if you get on it. Shifts smooth thru all 5 speeds and cruises easily at highway speeds. The Wilwood discs in the front bring the speed quickly under control. This Mustang is ready for your garage with most ofthe expensive bitsin near new condition which should deliver years of worry free motoring. I don't drive the car much and am not sure of the MPG but would guess it getsthe low 20's MPG.

I have the title which is clean (This is not a salvage) and it is inmy name.

Theengine currently has what I believe is a vacuum leak. Theintake manifold gasketshave beenreplaced which did help butthere isa hesitation while cruising at freeway speeds and a whistling sound can be heard at various RPMsand under hard acceleration.I have read online that the whistling mightbe caused by theamount of air the motor is bringing in combined with the airfilter and intake, asically it could simply be turbulence within the system. The hesitation will be worked onand I will post updates as Ihear and learn more.Bid on the car in it's current condition, am not surehow much improvement will be made by the end of the auction.

RUNS and DRIVES, drove it to my office last week (40 miles round trip) which is when I discovered the hesitation on the freeway.I might not suggest driving it across country but it could easily be drivenhome if you're a local, oCal bidder.
EXTERIOR:
1) Paint is in good condition and shines beautify however it is not perfect. There are some flaws in the paint including runs, mall scratches, icks, nd dents from being driven. Paint is about 4 years old and was probably a $4000 job. The fastback was built and painted when I bought it soI do not know the history.
2) Bumpers are in great condition and shine nicely.
3) Drivers door window molding is dented from being knocked on by hand and windshield molding could be seated a bit better. Both are inexpensive fixes.
4) Turn signal hood complete and working
5) GT fog lights complete and working with under dash GT switch.
6) GT Grill complete and in great condition
7) GT emblems on front fender, as cap, nd wheel caps are all in very nice condition.
8) New weather-strip installed at doors; (top and bottom) and truck.

9) The underside has been painted with a POR type brush on paint. It looks nice and covers well.
10) With the exception of the windshield, he glass is in good-excellent condition. Windshield has minor scratchesfrom wipers and small star crack from rock, hey are hard to see from just a few feet away, would call its condition fair and might need replacing. I believe the driverdoor glass also have some minor scratches.
11) GT wheels have been restored, andblasted then powder coated inside and out.
12) New tires (195/65/14) Falkin
DRIVETRAIN:

Centerforce clutch has less than 1000 miles
Aftermarket fuel pressure regulator

Cobra ECU

JBA shorty headers with dual exhaust and "X" pipe withDynomax mufflers

INTERIOR:
Overall the interior is in great condition. Front bucket seats are in fair condition and could use new seat covers. Front seats are similar to the 68 style in the Mustang with the release lever on the side and these also have the adjustable headrest which was an option on the Mustang in 1968. Rear seat, eadliner, ash, luster, nd panels are all in great condition.

New instrument bezel
New headliner (black)

Rear seat is not a fold down however the trap door is hinged and does open.
Carpet had been replaced when the car was painted andshows nice but does have some stainingin passengerfoot box area.
Rear seat belts are not installed but will be included.
Grant wood steering wheel
Truck has been carpeted and the floor raised and leveled. This was done just months ago and is show quality.
Interior panels are all there and look nice and clean (they are not scratched up).
Heater has been bypassed but is all there and appears complete under the dash.
A/C is also thereandnot working. As best I can tell it is complete just untested.
CHASSIS:
Wilwood front disc brakes. 4 piston calipers. There are less than 200 miles on the brakes.
Rear end has 3.55 written on it but I've not verified. No leaks, ear drum rear brakes.
Weld in sub-frame connectors
Stock suspension
KYB front shocks
Oversize 1-1/8 sway bar and end links
Manual steering and brakes (disc front/drum rear) allow car drive nice and predictable with no wondering.
Underside is very clean: subframe rails arestraight and footboxes are solid.
I was told by previous owner that the floors pans were replaced, hereis alsosmall patch workwhich looks like it wasto remove rust. Underside of floors and the chassishave been painted black.
