Description of 1971 Ford F-100

This truck is a gem. Very solid classic f-100 SPORT CUSTOM model. I am hoping a ford truck guru buys this and returns it to its former glory. It reallywon't take much more that paint and enginecompartment detailing. Power steering and brakes. It runs very well, bit cold blooded in the morning like any vehicle of this age. It has most of its complete history documented by owner where it spent most of its entire life is southern california .All glass is and trim very nice. The gentleman that owned it took great care of his truck,Evident as I read thru the stack ofmaintenance records. For example Trans was rebuilt at ford dealer at about 85,000 miles, reeze plugs also done back in the 80s. Oil changes, and most everything else logged with receipts. He added after market wiper delays,Cruise control, and even a/c everything works fine a/c blows cool but not ice cold. It may just need a shot of old freon. Inside has some normal wear but the gauges and knobs as well as the bezels are nice and clean. All the rubber around the doors and windows very nice shape. I drove this for a hour and 45 minutes in 80 degree weather at 70 mph and it hummed all the way no issues at all. Shifts and brakes as it should. All the lights work. All the body trim is in great shape for its age. Look at the picts the bed. light surface rust but hardly a ding just like the rest of this truck. This is a very tight truck. All panels, doors, hood align correctly and shut nice. No sagging. The head liner and visors look very nice. Floor is again like the rest of the truck solid as a rock. It does have a aftermarket second tank. "Must have been a typical thing to do back then"It had a cap on it soI'm sure that is what helped protect the bedbait. There are 3 small holes along topside of bed on each side from cap. about 1/4" round from cap. hardlynoticeable. The exhaust manifolds have been recently replaced. It goes down the road nice and straight no windwhistling thru the cab. I have a new rearchrome bumper that is included.Again the underneath just has surface rust like the rest if the truck. You could take this truck in many directions or leave as is and enjoy itsoriginal condition. I have seena lot of worn out trucksof 5-8k mostly junk. For my buy it now it is really fairly priced. Get in it and go. I would love to keep it but have too much on my plate right now.I have not cleaned or washed one part of this truck. I wanted folks to see it as it is. It is not a worn out, piece of junk patched up and made to look like something its not. If you want something you can ride around in now and tweak it as you go or a super easy truck to restore you have found it.Shipping is not included. No warranty like any old car. My feed back is solid. My descriptions are accurate. Well worth the buy it now. Easy access located just outside of detroit area. 48035 zip
