Description of 1971 Ford Bronco Sport

1971 Bronco Sport Solid Western Ride

Offered for auction is an extremely clean classic Bronco Sport Model. This Bronco is an absolute joy to drive! It runs down the road super smooth and straight, nd is extremely dependable.

During the restoration process the Bronco did receive some rust repair; even though it did spend the majority of its life in Southern Colorado. The passenger and driver side front floors have been repaired along with both rocker panels being replaced. All of the rusted sheet metal was cut out and the new panels were MIG welded in place. The rear bed area is very solid along with the rear quarter panels seams. The front door post and kick panels are in great condition. The driver and passenger door strikers are also rust free. Once the body work was complete the Bronco was painted with a beautiful base/clear paint job.

Engine and Transmission: The 302 V8 engine runs incredibly strong and holds excellent oil pressure 45/50 psi at warm ideal. The engine runs extremely smooth and quiet. The C4 automatic transmission shifts very smooth and tight and has been recently rebuilt.

Frame / suspension: The frame is clean and straight with no rust issues or evidence of previous accidents. The Bronco rides on stock height springs front and rear.

Transfer-case and Drivelines: The transfer-case is a stock Dana 20, hich shifts smoothly between all ranges and has no noise issues. The front lockout hubs have been rebuilt along with the rear driveline.

Axles: The Dana 44 front axle is fitted with 4:11 gears, hich is in good condition. The rear axle is a ford 9 inch with 4:11 gears, hich has received new axle bearing and seals, ew ring and pinion along with new carrier and pinion bearings

Wheels / Tires: I recently updated the wheels and tires to what is currently on the Bronco. The 33x12.50 Yokohama Geolandar all terrains have been a great addition to the Bronco. The rims are new and tires have less than 5000 miles on them.

Steering / Brakes: The Bronco has an OEM power steering system which was removed from a 1974 Bronco. The steering box and pump are extremely smooth and don’t leak any fluid. This Bronco drives very smooth and straight with no bump steer or wandering.

This Bronco has factory drum brakes front and rear. The rear brakes are the larger 11” drum brakes with new shoes, heel cylinder and drums. This Bronco stops great!

Cooling System and Fuel System: A new aluminum radiator, oses, elts have been installed. This Bronco is equipped with factory dual tanks which are both functional. The rear tank has been upgraded to a larger 24 gallon aftermarket tank.

Electrical: All lights and turn signals work great! The amp, uel, nd oil pressure gauges work fantastic. The wipers and emergency flasher systems work great and the factory heater is operational. The factory cigarette liter is also functional. There is also a nice CD player with speakers mounted in the door.

Interior / Soft trim: The OEM Bronco seats have been redone with new covers on the front and rear seats, he OEM seat tracks move freely. The Bronco also has a completely new carpet kit with new aluminum hold down strips. The door seals and window felting have been replaced along with the front windshield and windshield gasket. The top has also received new gaskets around the glass. The seat belts are in great condition. The OEM steering wheel has some minor cracks at the base of the wheel.

Exterior Trim: This Bronco is outfitted with new chrome bumpers front and rear along with new body side molding. The lights and reflectors are new along with the 302 and Bronco badges. The door locks are all functioning and locking with a key, long with the lift gate and glove box door.

Stuff: There is one small 1” scratch on the right side quarter panel and also 2 small chips in the RH door. The transfer case does leak a very small amount of fluid after being parked for 1 week. The dipstick tube also leaks a very small amount of oil.
