Description of 1966 Ford Bronco Roadster

STUNNING 1966 U13 ROADSTER SURVIVOROriginal Rare Options Including;Roadster Side MirrorOriginal Front Rubber "Bronco Script Floor Mat" (option)Rare 1966 Specific HubcapsCB Radio (option)Early "September 1965 BuildRare "Eyebrow Grill"Rare "pencil dash"Rare "Eyebrow Tailgate"Rare Roadster specific rear view fender mounted mirrorChrome Tail light bezels (option)Chrome bumpers (option)Trailer Hitch (option)
All of these options were made for Ford before mass production from a company called Ballie. Ford made subtle changes to tailgate, rill, ubcaps and a few other things that made the earliest broncos (built before November of 1965 the most desirable.
The 1966 Roadster was unique, n all purpose vehicle without a top or doors. 170 Cubic Inch 105 hp six cylinder, hree speed (three on the tree) column shifter and a Dana 20 transfer case standard. Only the earliest models came with a "ball style" transfer case shifter as the one you are viewing has.
Fiberglass inserts in lieu of doors were standard and a vinyl top and doors were options. The bench seat has been recovered in sourced original NOS vinyl.
There were only 4090 Roadsters built for 1966
This particular roadster was originally an Oklahoma (dry) vehicle and later spent time in N. Texas. I bought it from the second owner and imported it to South Florida. It sports 90% of it's original paint and the front floor pans have been professionally replaces with the correct factory ribbed floorpans. They were not a rusty mess, ut had a few small holes that I thought needed attention. Instead of welding in patches new floors were welded in and painted factory Caribbean Turquoise.
The few dents and scratches add character and natural patina to the vehicle that never bothered me and would take away from the originality of the truck if altered or painted.
Serious Bidders only.No scams.I encourage prospective buyers/ collectors to come view and drive the Bronco in person. It still drives like it did 50 years ago, erfect!
The Roadster is listed locally so I do reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time.
A $500 NON REFUNDABLE deposit is due at auction end. This is strictly to keep bidders honest.

Sorry, orrection....The name of the company that was subcontracted out by Ford to build the earliest Bronco bodies was "Budd" not Ballie. If you google search Budd built Bronco you will most likely find info confirming the subtle differences between a 1966 and a 1967-1977 that indeed makes the 1966 (early build, hey changed things after October of 1965 production) Broncos unique and sought after. Feel free to text me if you would like me to answer any questions or would like additional photos. This is an honest 1966 Roadster that drives flawlessly with most of it's service record history and goes up in value as we get closer to the 50th Anniversary of the Bronco in 2016!
