For auction is a 1961 Ford Galaxie 2dr Convertible with a rebuilt 390 motor and automatic transmission. This car has so much going for it that it just takes someone who can put it all together.... literally. The motor sounds fantastic, he 390 is not original to the car (as I found out when looking up the vin, ut the rebuilt on this 390 is fine automotive craftsmanship at its best. somewhere along the way the transmission has found its way to the floor, t shifts crisply and doesn't leak a drop. This puppy is solid. mechanically speaking at least, verything it appears to be in excellent working order. All the glass is installed and not cracked, he gauges all appear to be working, rakes were recently redone and work fine. The structure of this car is real good. the floors are mostly solid save for a few spots that could be dealt with fairly easily, he frame is solid, ocker looks good but the body does have lower rust primarily in the rear right quarter that you can see in the pictures. Someone has welded a new panel on the left rear and there are a few spots underneith that need to be dealt with. I have included as much detail as possible in the photos so please use those as the best indication of condition. The previous owner (recently passed) was determined to return this classic to it's once glorious state of awesome. In doing so he stripped it down and purchased every piece that wasn't perfect: Convertible top and hydraulics, rakes, arpet, rakes, ll weatherstripping, ll new interior (red and white) and all the chrome from the grill to the "Galaxie" decals for the hood. These include many N.O.S. items factory direct where possible. In addition to many original parts and pieces, ll of the hardware that was removed in the process was also kept and is included in this auction. This includes many old parts, ardware, ittings, nd pieces that are all still in good condition and have been well packed and labeled to make it easier to assemble. There is an aftermarket radio in the car that someone must have thought was a good idea that needs to be dealt with. And the tires look pretty good. I am including a fairly complete list of all new, ever installed items below, f there is a receipt for the item I have included it's original purchase price. This is not an exhaustive list but I cover the majority of them. Of course, lease use the photos to see the items included in the auction. Everything seen in the photos is included. I have also included a video of the car being started and running to give you a better idea of the condition of the motor. I as a precautionary measure I reserve the right to cancel the auction before bidding closes, lthough I have never done so before and have no intention of doing so now. Shipping: You are welcome to pick up the car locally if you'd like, hat's the best option. You can also have the car transported by a 3rd party shipping service. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for any shipping costs. However, f you do choose to have the vehicle shipped I will ensure that all included items are professionally packaged and included with the car in an appropriate and shipping safe manner, ut i would strongly advise not cheeping out on the shipping, have never had the best of luck going with a cut rate car-moving company, uying or selling. However, t's completely up to you. Payment: Payment must be received in full prior to the car being released. A non-refundable deposit of $500 must be paid within 48 hours of the auction closing and can be paid with cash, aypal, ertified check or wire transfer.
