Classic 1974 Ford F-250 Highboy Americana BIG FOOT

One of a kind 1974 Ford F-250! This truck is a looker and every time it is driven there are many admirers! This truck was built just as you see it in the late 80's to be what was then considered a stage 1 monster truck! One key characteristic about this beautiful truck is that it is the exact same Year, ake, and Model as the first ever monster truck in America, ig Foot. Yep she is a 1974 Ford F-250 Ranger, hich is exactly what Big Foot was and they very reason someone built this beauty in the late 80's when monster truck popularity was on the rise. I'll let the pictures do the talking of its uniqueness and beauty. You will be hard pressed to find another truck that is this unique and captures a piece of American history to the extent it does. The engine is a 390 that was rebuilt by Speed Specialties in Garland, x.The cam was custom ground and the heads port and polished to give it a little more punch and to cause it to sound mean while idling. The crank and flywheel were also balanced during the rebuild so the engine runs very smooth. If you desire to know more specifics about the engine just shoot me a message and I will answer promptly.The carb was tuned to provide optimal air/fuel ratio while running.Theengine has less than 1000 miles on it since being rebuilt and Idrove the truck on a 300 mile trip on the interstate when I moved from Tx to LA and she did just fine with noissues.Itonly has "power steering assist" so itdoes require effort to turn the wheel. Also, ith the 39"tires and narrow frame it doestend to want to walk on you while driving. She is a beauty and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this truck.

Although this is a great truck she does have a few flaws. I'll list all I can think of here.

The paint, lthough it is awesome, s not perfect. There are small chips in a few places around the truck, nd at one time it appears someone placed something on top of the roll bar and scratched the paint off. It is noticeable when you are standing in the bed of the truck.

The parking breakcable isfroze up and does not function.

The front and reardifferentials do seep a little oil and probably need a new seal, ut it never leaks enough to where I see any on the ground. Just oily residue on skid plates.

The front transmission seal does leak a little oil also, ut again it is not enough to where I have ever see any on the ground under the truck. You notice it onlyif you crawl under the truck and look up at the tranny.

These are not all the flaws but any other ones are very minor and would be ones that are expected with this age of truck.
