Description of 1938 Ford Other Pickups

1938 Ford 1/2 pickup with great patina. Has Shell Service station insignia hand painted on the doors. This belonged to a shell service station in the Willow Glen areas of San Jose California in the 1940s and 1950s. On the dash is an Identifaction plaque from Modern Motor in Shawnee Oklahoma where it was originally purchased. This truck hasn't been licensed since 1959 and has both yellow California plates with black letter that came out in 1956. The frames has been blasted and repainted chassis black and the differential has been rebuilt. The is no motor or transmission, ut there is a nice radiator and gas take and it comes with the bumper.. The body pretty good rust wise the cab corner and doors are very solid. The have the regulators but no glass. The steering box is not in it but it rolls easy and can be loaded on a truck. I have a Chevy column from the 1970s.The tailgate is missing as are the door handles. The rear cross member where the spring purchase is has been modified to lower the truck and it was nicely done,so it either needs a drop axle in the front to make it level or replace that rear cross member to make it stock height again. It is a solid truck with not much rust but some dents mostly in the front, ould make a great rat rod or could be restored. I am selling it with a bill of sale I will print from the California DMV site because it has been out of the system for many years, ery easy to reinstate. Great project with minimum rust repair.
