Description of 1947 Ford Other Super Deluxe

Very tidy 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible available for purchase in the San Francisco Bay area of California.

This particular example wears a very nice restoration from around 10 years ago and has seen light usage ever since. Built to keep by the restorer, who sadly passed on,) the plan behind the priject was to achieve a great looking classic cruiser with the reliablity and practicality of a modern car. Evidence of this abounds. The drivetrain comprises a Ford 3.8L fuel injected V6 mated to a Ford AOD transmission. The differential is the ever popular 9" Ford rear. Importantly, hile the car wears a slight chop, his was a factory Cabriolet as indicated by the VIN.

Further, he car sits on a Mustang II front end with rack and pinion power steering. High end Pacer suspension makes the car sit very comfortably on the road, ith stopping power coming from power disc brakes. Vintage AC is fitted, eaning the comfort matches the appearance of this 1949 which was treated to a perfect 2.5" chop covered by a Carson hardtop in excellent shape.

The car retains its Super Deluxe features such as passenger dash clock, win ashtrays and cranked ventilation windows. The dials all work and appear to be original to the car.

You might recognise the Super Deluxe from the movies, s it was the prized gift received by Daniel from Mr Miyagi in The Karate Kid. This is a great opportunity to own an iconic classic without needing to paint a lot of fences.
