Description of 1990 Ford F-150 F-150 Lariat

Up for auction today is my 1990 Ford F-150 Lariat Pick -up. This truck must have been put away for awhile or it was driven very little. The truck has less than 73. 00 miles. There are several things that indicate this. I will explain later. This truck is fantastic. I have been driving it every day since I have owned it(just under a year). When I purchased it. I drove it from Miami. Florida to Dallas. TX. and it drove very well and performed better than I expected. It did not burn any oil. The only reason I am selling it is because my business needs a minivan and I don’t need 4 vehicles. This truck is a daily driver! Why pay $20K to 30K for a new truck when you can bid and win this one for far less than that. This truck’s color combination of red and off white is an eye catcher. It has classic lines and since it is a Lariat. it has a two tone paint job-red and a whitish cream color. It shines real well and I get a lot of lookers as I drive down the road. This truck has a Ford 5. 0 Liter engine with fuel injection and it will giddy up when you need the power! The carpet looks great. See the pictures! Notice that the interior roof is spotless and the red color has not faded nor has the material separated. The same can be said about the cab carpeting. The dashboard looks brand new and has a cover for it to prevent it from fading and cracking. The dash looks brand new as well! There are a lot of extras on this truck. It has a chrome toolbox in the back that locks up and secures your tools. There is also a custom black canvass like cover for the bed. It is waterproof and it really accents the truck’s look. There is also an aftermarket back up camera that facilitates safe backing up. This same item also offers the convenience of a GPS for finding your way and it will also interface with your phone. There is also a fairly new radio/cd player(JVC) that is a much better radio than its original one. It sounds great with its multiple speakers. It can also accommodate other inputs like an MP3 player or Windows Media files. The tires have less than 10K miles on them. They all match and have plenty of miles to go. The brakes stop the truck as expected. There is also an alarm system that really discourages anyone from messing with the truck. Another nice feature is that it has two gas tanks. a 13 gallon front tank and a 17 gallon rear tank. The truck gets between 14-18 miles per gallon. The ride is comfortable. even on long trips. Now. to explain why I know that the truck shows its original miles. I will start out what the seller stated to me when I bought the truck. The person that I bought it from is a well- known connoisseur of Ford Thunderbird. He has published one or more books on the subject. He said that he replaced the original radiator hoses because he was concerned that the hoses would develop a crack when he was on long trips towing and showing his Thunderbird at the various auto shows. He stated that there is something different about the original hoses when compared to the hoses you now get from Ford. I have kept the original hoses to show the new owner what he was talking about. Another indication of this was illustrated when I went to get the truck inspected here in Texas. Not many places are equipped to perform a safety inspection for vehicles older than 20 years old. I had to take it to someone who could do this. When the inspection was finished. the mechanic stated that he was amazed at the readings he was getting for such an old truck. He stated that my truck was almost like a new one. I told him that the odometer was showing the original miles and he said he believed that to be so as few old trucks with a lot of miles seldom if ever get the readings he was getting with my truck. This Ford F-150 Lariat has a bed floor cover that is made of a thick-like rubber with thread reinforcements. like tires have. There is also a metal covering that fits on the interior side of the the surface of the gate. This same covering is also on the tops of the side bed surface. It protects the painted surface. This metal covering is the same material that the tool box is made of. This truck has been repainted and most likely had some body work on it. The job was decent. but there are some areas that could have received more care. I mention this because I want the buyer to know everything about the truck. good or bad. These defects are small and one has to look carefully to notice them. There are two gauges that work sometime- the battery charging condition and the water temperature. I have yet to need them! Good luck bidding on this Ford truck! I am going to miss driving it! On Dec-16-14 at 10:58:28 PST. seller added the following information: I wanted to add a few things that need to be addressed. I never saw the Vehicle Auto score until a few minutes ago and I was surprised. I was not aware that this truck was owned by 5 others before me as well as a duplicate title issued. Apparently that makes a big impact on the score. I must say that it does not make any difference to me. nor should it be the case with you. This scoring method does not take any consideration in the operation and the real condition of this truck. Every time I drive it. I am amazed at how quite it is going down the road. There is not one single rattle or sound even when going over rough terrain. One would expect that a truck that is 25 years old would make some kind of noise or rattle. but there is not one sound! It is very solid! That may be an indication of how this truck has been driven or treated over the years as well as its low mileage. Like I said before-this truck is a daily driver up until I purchased a van just about two weeks ago. This truck can go anywhere and I would not hesitate driving it across the country! Any issues about this truck that I have stated are small and inconsequential.
