Description of 1965 Ford Mustang

Very nice and clean 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback. The Mustang started it's life out as a 6 cylinder. but was converted over to a V-8. The front and rear suspensions and rearend were all changed over to V-8 equipment. The prior owner also sand blasted the engine compartment and epoxy primed it. He rebuilt the 289 two barrel and put a 4 speed toploader transmission in. At some point someone shaved the shock towers (please look closely at the pictures). They did a good job and it looks nice. The bodywork was done by the prior owner too. It was blocked out prior to painting and has a very nice paint job. I would not call it "Show" quality. but very nice with some small blemishes here and there (dust nubs and a few assembly scratches). It drives well and the power steering works great. It does have drum brakes all around and does stop like a drum brake car. Disc brake conversion would be nice. The interior is very nice overall. but the back seat does have some seam separation at the hump. The carpet is new and so is the fold down seat carpet. The trim around the fold down seat is new. Most. but not all chrome parts were replaced. The front and rear bumpers are not new. The radio does not work. All the lights work. both interior and exterior. The drivers door window kind of clicks when rolling it up. but it works. just not smoothly. New headliner. new front seat covers. and new clove box. The door handles were replaced with new. both interior and exterior. Very nice grill. Great tread on tires. with original rims. It has new gaskets on the door and the decklid. The decklid sticks up a little from the new gasket. it should settle with time. I'm sure there are plenty of new parts I have not listed and probably some things about the car I have forgot or don't know. It does not have any rust issues. This is a great car for just cruising around or taking to the next level. Great upgrades would be disc brakes and making it a four barrel car. Very pretty car in vermillion red paint.
