1939 Ford Pickup (1/2 Ton)

1939 Ford 1/2 ton pickup truck in excellent restored condition. Rebuilt flathead V-8, riginal 3-speed manual transmission (floor shift). This truck has been completely restored - beautiful paint and interior. All the glass is good - windshield is original. Window regulators are nice and smooth.

The truck has been converted to a 12 volt system and the original generator was replaced with an alternator. The truck alsohas an electric fuel pump. The truck has seat belts and turn signals. All the gauges work. A water temp. and oil pressure gauge have been added (both are in good workingcondition). The odometer reads 6,587.

The tires that are on the truck areAllstate 6.50-16 nylon tube type 4 ply Super Safety Tread.These tires have been on the truck since it was restored. They have virtually no tread wear and no cracking since the truckhas always been garaged since restoration. These are bias ply tires, ot radial. The truck also has new shocks and new radiator hoses.

Themotor number on the Ford flathead V-8 is 59A-6050-B. There is also a small metal tag on each of the heads that reads 7-17-51. Itis unknownwhether this is the original motor or not. Themotor has been completely rebuilt and is in excellent running condition. The motor has nooil leaks of any kind. The bed of the truck is original, ut the wood under the metal bed has been replaced.

This truck was purchased from Drager's Classic and Collectibles in Seattle, ashington by the Electric Utility Company in Guadalupe County, exas. GVEC purchased the truck in May of 1999 and used it only for parades andoccasional promotional events. The truck was purchased by the current owner in May of 2010.

This truck is very tight and runs and drives great! Original steering wheel in very good condition. Everything on the truckis in good working condition - lights, urn signals, orn, indshieldwipers, peedometer, tc.
