Description of 1992 Ford Taurus SHO Police Intercepter

Rare 1992 Black SHO with Black Interior, actory High Performance Yamaha Hand Built V-6 & 5-Speed Manual Trans (Yes, Manual Trans!!).
How Rare? Only 254 SHOs were EVER Built in Black with Black Leather Interior - how many are left?
This combo (Black/Black) was ONLY offered in the 92 & 93 (2nd generation) SHOs for a special purpose.
SHO = Super High Output. It's not like any other car you've driven -- Look at the engine!
Each cylinder has a short & long intake runner for no delay - Designed & Hand Built for Ford by Yamaha
These engines were were originally tested at 14,000 RPM for a DAY and held together.
"I'm told" SHOs have a Top Speed of about 160 (Speedometers go up to 140 for some reason).
It has All options including CD, ower Windows, ower Sunroof, amp; Rare Factory Dark Tint.
The Leather Seats show wear but are not torn, ut, r coming apart.
Body is solid & Paint is still good (any marks in pics are reflections).
Last pics show it's rust free - always sprayed off top & bottom & garaged.
Been driven by family most of it's years - Runs Great & always well maintained by dealer
Dad traveled & I traveled too (for an unnamed agency) so most miles on it are highway miles.
Everything works as it should - we just don't drive it much anymore, o take it to your house before I change my mind...
Every 60k, er factory specs, t got a New Water Pump, elts, rank Sensor, elts, lugs, ires, hermostat, alves Adjusted & All fluids replaced with (Synthetics). That's why it's got over 180k & doesn't smoke, eak, r knock and runs as strong as when new. Factory Certified Calibrated Speedometer is in trunk - odometer quit & was replaced by std. speedometer = the odometer glitch in history report
Earlier this year the 5-Speed was Totally & Completely Rebuilt with ALL New Bearings, eals, amp; Syncro's (it's warranteed).
Flywheel was resurfaced & new Performance Clutch, ressure Plate, nd Throwout Bearing installed.
We also had ALL the 4 Wheel Disc Brakes Rebuilt recently & Tires are Great
Only car I've driven that gets over 32mpg at 75mph with the AC On, oing through the hills of Virginia (with power to spare if you drop back in 4th gear) -AND- easily catch 5.0 Mustangs, amaros, nd those "Ricers" with their "Fart Pipe" & a "Carry Handle" on the trunk !
I no longer need to travel as much - I'm retired now & full time care-giver for my 98yr old mother.
It's a great car, lmost part of the family & I'm Not going to give it away - If you just want a Taurus, ook elseware.
