Description of 1965 Ford Mustang PONY

You are considering a 1965 Ford Mustang Pony 170 inline 6 cylinder hard top coupe!FREELY MOVE WHILE YOU IMPROVE THIS GARAGE KEPT-NON SMOKER OWNED GORGEOUS VEHICLE!!!!!EXPERIENCE THAT ANTIQUE CAR SMELL!!I AM THE 4RTH OWNER (THAT I CAN VERIFY) OF THIS VEHICLE. IT DOES DRIVE WELL, UT NEEDS A LITTLE MORE WORK. THIS IS A GREAT, OLID, OUND ANTIQUE VEHICLE THAT YOU CAN DRIVE WHILE YOU UPGRADE!! IT GETS GREAT GAS MILEAGE TO BE SO ANCIENT. BEFORE YOU CHECK CODES ON IT AND WRITE ME AS IF I AM A CRIMINAL-LET ME WARN YOU THERE MAY BE SOME DISCREPANCIES WITH THIS VEHICLE BUT IT IS A LEGITIMATE-NUMBERS MATCHING-ALL ORIGINAL ANTIQUE U.S. VEHICLE!! THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS "SILVER BLUE METALLIC" AND CHANGED TO RED AROUND 1985. AS FAR AS I KNOW-THE TRANSMISSION AND PARTS ARE 100% ORIGINAL. OBVIOUSLY MECHANICAL PARTS CAN'T ALL BE "ORIGINAL" AS THEY MUST BE REPLACED WHEN THEY BREAK. THE KEYS EVERYONE LOOKS FOR: RARE: ORIGINAL CRUISING INLINE 6 CYLINDER PONIES ARE DYING OUT AND ARE HARD TO FIND. EVERYONE DRIVES THE V-8's and A LOT MORE WERE MADE. 1) ALL ORIGINAL FORMAT EXCEPT: 2) COLOR TURNED RED IN 1985 3) A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER HAD TO VERIFY THE NUMBERS FOR TN TITLE 4) NOT A RUST BUCKET ( NO RUSTANG SEE LAST PICS) 5) ONLY TWO "MAJOR" UPGRADES REMAIN A)DUAL CUP MASTER CYLINDER WHICH I HAVE IN HAND AND B)PEDAL WORK 6) ALL OTHER UPGRADES/CHANGES/WORKS ARE STRICTLY THE CHOICE OF THE BUYER!! THE CAR'S HISTORY TO THE BEST OF MY UN-PERJURED KNOWLEDGE: This car was driven by an older man's spouse in Alabama (where titles were NOT mandated) until she desired a newer car and her husband sold this one in 1985. He granted her wishes. Then the car was purchased by a country gentleman then 42 years of age named Andy Lee (also in Alabama). His most recent work included a full four wheel drum replacement, uel sending unit replacement, new tire set, nd clutch pressure plate replacement. He is now 72 and stated it was getting to be too much, o he sold it to a young man in Charleston MS in January of this year. That young man then found out that a two year wait was necessary with no previous title to obtain a Mississippi title(and he still drove it), o he drove it til mechanical problems arose (TEMP GAUGE & RADIATOR/COOLING SYSTEM) and I answered his ad. Since I have had it I have started the necessary upgrades and drive it a few miles when the weather allows me (not in rain, now, ail, torms, r extreme heat). I do love it. I have three kids (all of whom love to cruise with me) and for all I would like done-just do NOT have the time. This car was painted red around 1985. He really went to a lot of trouble to cover the original color. All in all it has held up well and still looks GREAT overall! It still looks very good up close, ut not perfect by any means-IT (paint) IS 30 YEARS OLD!! I still get compliments all the time. The car was also reupholstered in 1985 and that also still looks VERY GOOD! To the best of my knowledge, ith the exception of paint color change, nd subtle upgrades, LL other parts are original to the car. Not realizing that they would ever be requested, o receipts were kept from any previous work before my records. I do have all of my receipts in the glove box of the car maintained in the original "Ford" style 1965 glove compartment envelope as seen in the pics. UPGRADES, ARTS REPLACED, URRENT LABOR(S): Recent drum replacement; fuel sending unit; new tires; clutch pressure plate; starter coil; electronic ignition (pertronix original); entire cooling system including: aluminum radiator, ater pump/pulley, hermostat housing, hermostat (original 192 degree-I installed a new 180 degree, pper & lower radiator hoses, ll new clamps, emperature sending switch, pgraded from 4 to 6 blade cooling fan; fresh antifreeze; ALSO new belt, new alternator, lternator mounting bracket; new voltage regulator; new battery with two year replacement; new stainless steel fuel pump to carburetor fuel line; new high temperature auto choke to intake vacuum line; new radiator/hood bumper kit; new trunk gasket, new trunk bumper cushions; new trunk carpeting; new trunk wheel housing gaskets; new spare tire wheel cover for trunk's clean sleek look; new pcv valve & hose; new breather gasket; new air filter; replaced grill (was 1966 turned back to original 1965 with grill bars & support bracket); new glove box light fixture (was missing from vehicle); replaced plugs; plug wires; distributor cap/ignition rotor; replaced coil/coil bracket/coil wire; set timing; replaced battery tray; installed new 13 oz stainless steel radiator backup reservoir; replaced missing under the hood wire harnesses; replaced floor mats with original red rubber pony mats back & front; added racing steering wheel cover; added protective dash mat to prevent cracking/sun damage; added red/black interior racing front seat covers to protect interior front seats; replaced with new accelerator pedal spring/screw. PARTS THAT REMAIN UNINSTALLED: Ford chromed steel permanent pin lettering (for hood/trunk/body); stainless steel distributor to carburetor vacuum line (needs flaring & slight bend adjustment then installation); dual cup master brake cylinder with quick fit fluid line adapters for the conversion; new starter solenoid with FOMOCO logo (for when/if the existing one fails); interior dash lighter heating element; brake pedal light switch (all lights-fully functional!) AREAS NEEDING WORK/ATTENTION--MOST OFTHE FOLLOWING AREAS STILL WORK BUT WILL NEED ATTENTION SOON (in my humble opinion): Brake/clutch pedals need at least return springs; master brake cylinder upgrade & push rod worked; temp gauge not working-I checked ground & it's good-I replaced temp switch-may be incorrect ohm count to trigger gauge reading-CAR IS NOT RUNNING HOT-IT'S A GREAT CRUISER; trunk torsion rods (trunk will not stay open by itself although there is a pair present); signal switch may need replacement due to overlap stick; horn works but may need springs; blender air cable; lug wrench. SUMMATION: I have done my best to disclose everything about this vehicle that I know. I am no mechanic, ut I did much study online to assure I was not getting robbed and install the simple things myself. Feel free to ask any questions. If I can answer-I will!! I am only seeking to retrieve most of what I have invested in this vehicle, tarting the bidding at a slight loss. Please do NOT message me with a low ball offer that only would offend. This is a fully operational vehicle that is quite attractive. I will keep it before I lose too much on my investment. It is fun to drive. All the time I get compliments and dropping jaws! I would love to drive it with many more modifications, ut do not have the time as I work 3 jobs and have 3 children. You can move while you improve and create your dream "stang" as you so desire! There are not many of these vehicles left that are this "vested". This one is a winner and had been well cared for, ot smoked in, nd remains in my garage, HANKS FOR LOOKING!! ARRANGEMENTS FOR PAYMENT/PICKUP: Buyer will be asked to pick up within 7 days (unless another agreement is reached in advance.), ay 2.5% deposit ( roughly U.S.D. $250.00) upon winning the bid (or within 24 hours to show legitimacy); contacting me (ebay message) to inform of intentions and agree on time/date of pickup within 48 hours of auction's end. I will work with you any way I can. If future arrangements are needed-they must be purchased in good faith. I have a pretty extensive feedback record on Ebay and have experience with vehicle sales and arrangements. I am NOT hard to deal with provided you have an ounce of professional courtesy and integrity, hank you for looking!!! GOOD LUCK!!
