Description for Ford Mustang 1972

Here for your consideration is a 1972 Mustang Mach 1. It is equipped with a 351C 2V engine. FMX automatic transmission. power steering and power disc brakes. This car has always been in NC and is a two owner car. I bought it from the second owner who has owned it since 1976. It is an original bright red car that has recently been painted the crimson color you see now. It has been wetsanded by someone either to buff or respray. I do not why this was done. I installed a new ignition switch. new windshield. new dashcap. and a very nice set of Magnum 500 wheels with excellent Michelin radials. I also rebuilt the 2V carb. The engine runs well. but there is an exhaust leak that makes a pecking sound near the manifold on the passenger's side. The power steering and power brakes work well. The transmission is sluggish between shifts. so I have a rebuilt FMX transmission that is included with the car. The floorpans and trunk floor have had some repairs made to them out of fiberglass. but the rest of the car seems to be in good shape. No rust in the hood. which is common. and fenders and doors look good at the bottom. The fender apron under the battery does have some rust from battery acid. This car is a good running and driving Mach 1 that can be enjoyed while you continue to restore it. It needs a new headliner and seat covers installed. Buyer is responsible for moving the car to it's new home. If you are the winning bidder and you come after the car and are not satisfied with it. you do not have to buy it. If you send someone to get it. the sale is final when it leaves my possession. I can store this car outside for a while. but I require full payment within 7 days of auction's end. Thanks for looking and good luck.
