Description of 1953 Ford Other Customline

1953 FORD Customline Club Coupe

The 1953 Ford was one of the nicest looking cars of the early 50s. While GM had not yet changed post war styling, ord was taking the first steps to a newer cleaner look including one of the first one piece windshields available in its class. The new look paid off significantly. Ford outsold GM by large quantities. The styling of this Ford still looks fresh today.

This ’53 Customline is beautifully restored from top to bottom, nside, utside and under the hood. Lets start with her original 239ci Flathead V8. Its all original engine has been completely rebuilt and has been nicely detailed to a super clean, mooth running & completely reliable car. This car can be driven anywhere without any issues. She starts instantly and idles perfectly. The 3speed manual transmission has factory Overdrive & shifts smoothly. Step on the gas pedal and the response is immediate She cruises at any speed with ease. Dual exhaust is extremely quiet and she drives straight as an arrow. A pure pleasure to drive in every respect. Tires and brakes are fairly new and she recently passed NYS inspection. Even the undercarriage is nicely detailed and rust free. Nearly $9000 in recent receipts for all mechanical repairs and upgrades are included in the sale and available upon request.

The paint is in excellent condition. it shines bright with no dings, ents, cratches or bubbling anywhere. The body is super straight and 100% rust free. The chrome and trim are all original and beautifully refinished, ncluding the factory chrome rear fender skirts and huge outside sun visor.

The interior is as good as new and again, eautifully original. it has been restored using all original or NOS parts. Carpet and headliner are new NOS. Seating is immaculate as is the entire dash. All gauges sharp and clear and work as they should (as shown in photo). This Ford was also one of the first vehicles to offer directional signals. The radio, eater & wipers work. The clock would be the only feature that does not work. Dual right & left mirrors as well as seat belts have been added for safety. All new rubber has been added for all doors, indows, runk and hood. Not being the original owner of this automobile means savings for you.
