Description of 1972 Ford Torino Fastback |
This is a hard to find 1972 Gran Torino GT Sport Roof (fastback). The 1972is a one year only body style that was recently made famous by not only in the Fast and Furious movies, ut also the Clint Eastwood film "Gran Torino". The first photo is what I was planning on restoring the car to look like, he white Torino is what you are bidding on (just to be clear). This Gran Torino Sport roof is all original with a factory installed and numbers matching 302-V8 and a C4 automatic. The car is nicely equipped with power steering, ower disc brakes and factory air conditioning although not currently running. The car willneed a full restoration as there is rust present, he worst being is the car will need floor pans, passenger side quarter patch panel and a hood as the underside is pretty rusted. The trunk pan looks like it could just use a few small patches welded in, rame rails look solid. I have a few of the patch panels already which is included with the car. The car was a running/driving car until about two years ago when the previous owner removed the intake manifold for a different project of his. This unfortunately has allowed the elements into the block for the past several yearsrendering the original motor useless. I have not attempted to turn it over as I was planning on dropping in anothermotor I have and thecomplete302 V8 long blockwill beincluded with thesale of the car ONLY if the bidding goes above $4200. If the car does not sell for that amount, hen the winning bidder has the option to buy the motor at an additional cost. This rarecar overall is VERY clean, traight and complete and absolutely worth spending the time and effort to restore. The glass looks good, s does the door panels, ash and cluster, eadliner, nd seats although the front bench does have a split as you can see in the photo. Please look at the car in person or at least ask any questions you may haveas all sales are considered final. The car is being sold "as is" and "where is" so the buyer must make their own plans to have its transported. Cash upon pick-up or wire transfers only. A $500.00 deposit must be made through PayPal within 24 hours from the end of the sale and the balance to be paid no longer than 7 days from auctions end. Thanks for looking and good luck if you choose to bid. Clean and clear title in hand. . Thank you for your overwhelming interest and questions regarding the Gran Torino, will address some of them to avoid any confusion.I'vebeen asked several times now why car is beingsold and the fact is that I have several other project vehicles I'm currently working on and have decided to pass this one along due to lack of time. I've also been asked whats my "Buy it Now" price... I do not have this option listed as the car will be sold to the highest bidder, o if your interested in this rare fastback Torino, hen I would suggest you place a bid now because once its gone, ts gone. The additional motor is a complete motor from the intake to oil pan and has a mild street cam and a aluminum intake. If the car does not sell, will most likely do the motor swap myself and get the car running/driving again. Obviously the price will continue to increase the more time, ffort and money I invest. Again, hank you for all of your questions and interest in this classic muscle car. Currently 5 days remaining and already over 90 watchers!! Good luck if you choose to bid. |
