Description of 1965 Ford Mustang

1965 FORD MUSTANG CAROLINA CAR ALL ITS LIFE. 289 2 barrel, automatic.I bought this car from the gentleman that bought it new in November of 1964 from a Ford dealer in Elizabethton TN. He brought it to Asheville NC where it has been all its life. The car has not been run for several years. It was sitting under a shed with a tarp over it when I bought it. I brought it home put a new gas tank on it, battery and new gas and it fired right up. The gentleman was a mustang guy. He had 4 total and I bought all 4 of them. He kept them up really well until he got sick a few years ago. He said he had bought this one for his wife. It is showing 61,789 miles and he said that was original miles. The reason hesold them is that he was going into a nursing home. As you can see in the pictures I have the original order form, he original owners manual, he original Ford customer identification card, receipts where he paid a deposit and then the balance for the car, nd also the original window sticker for the car. I also have several receipts for work that was done on the car, ne being the receipt for rebuilding the engine in 1986. The car has some rust spots buy not rusted through. All the glass is good. The front seats have a couple of seams that have come apart and it needs new carpet. The floor pans look ok except where the drivers side meets the firewall it is separated. He had receipts where he had the pans replaced in one of the other cars and it looks to me like these could have been replaced and for some reason came apart at that seam DON"T GET ME WRONG I AM NOT A MECHANIC AND WHAT I SAY ABOUT THE CAR IS JUST MY OPINION. The car does start drive and stop but it will need tires and although it stops the brakes probably need to be checked. This car would make a great car to restore, o make a daily driver, r to drive and fix it as you go along. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or call 828-777-1988
