Description of 1957 Ford Thunderbird

Just in time to make thisthe ultimate gift (to yourself or to someone special to you), his listing is fora 1957 Ford Thunderdbird.... and it's listed with NO RESERVE. Its a solid example of this all time classic vehicle. It's a D-Code,with a 312 V8, utomatic transmission, ower windows, ower brakes and power steering. It's gotboth a hard top as well as anearly new convertible soft top. TheKelsey Hayes wire wheels are brand new and it has2 brand new Coker tires. The muffler system, hile a bit throaty formy taste, snew as you can see in the photos and was put on by the previous owner. The chrome and trim on this car is in nice shape, specially the bumpers. The interior is in tact, nd aside from the gas guage, llthe rest of theguages and electronics of the car are working. The previous owner also had the engine and transmission rebuilt, o the car runs fine and has pretty good power. The undercarriage of the car is clean and bone dry as you can see from the photos.

It is a gun metal gray coded car, ut as you can see has been painted a champagne silver color. Its not an original color fora 1957Thunderbird.......but it should have been. This car is gorgeous and demands more attention in this color than any of the previous six 1957 T-birds that I have owned. Thiscertainly is not a show car, ut iswhat I would fairly say is a nice 20-footer. It could use a re-spray to take it up a notch, specially around the lower door, ocker panel area. Butif you want to return it to its gun metal gray color, ou'd have to re-spray it anyway.

Other issues with the car include it needingside windows since they both have cracks. The front brakes, pecifically the bearings on the passenger sideneedwork since theyvibrate when you press the brakes to bring the car to a stop. The hard top is in good shape, ut I'd change the weather stripping around the edges, s the rubber has gotten brittleafter almost 60 years.

Overall, this car is a driverand not a trailer queen. But with amodest amount of time, ttention and a few dollars, his couldbe areally sharp car. And with it being offered with NO RESERVE, his could be thegolden (actually, ilver) opportunityof a lifetime.
