Description of 1937 Ford Other

This is an excellent vehicle built in the style of the50's and 60's. It has strong styling from the Art Deco period with a timeless look not since produced. With it's roll up windows you can have an open air vehicle and quickly convert to a closed vehicle with wind and rain protection. With only 10485 vehicles thought to have been produced the 37 Cabriolet in "all steel" form is a rare vehicle. With front opening hood and integrated headlights it was a first for Ford. This was originally a Northern California car that found its way to Seattle. It has been in Florida for the last 11 years. It is powered not by a small block Chevy but a late model (49-53) flathead with aluminum heads. Offenhauser intake with a 390cfm Holly. Mallory electronic ignition. and Johnson adjustable valve lifters. It is cooled by Bob Drake water pumps. a Walker radiator and a Cooling Components electric fan. Power runs through a Ford C4 trans to a 9" Ford rear with 3. 0 gears. It is a very comfortable cruiser and is as clean on the underside as it is on top. It was converted to front disc brakes last year in the interest and has LED tail lights for additional safety. A glide seat is covered in Mercedes Cork leather as is the rumble seat. All upholstery work was done by Hoyts of Sarasota. world acclaimed for many high end European cars and Ringling Museum work. It has a split front wishbone and IDidit steering and California Rewire wiring. The tires are BF Goodrich whitewalls on Vintique wheels with Moon aluminum discs to maintain the Art Deco and 50's look. The car drives extremely well and draws attention wherever it goes. Inspections and test drives for serious buyers are available prior to end of auction. Reserve not revealed until auction is over. Please don't ask.
