Description of 1969 Ford Mustang

This is my personal car and I have a free and clear title in my name. It is a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 Double R Code Mach 1. The car originally came as a 428 CJ Acapulco blue Mach 1 with a blacked out hood and a 4 speed manual transmission.
As for the car currently, t still has the original 428 crank, ods, nd heads but the block has been replaced long ago. Also, he original 4 speed has been replaced with a 5 speed Manual Tremac TKO600 transmission. The shaker has also been replaced with a repo 429 Boss hood scoop. But the hole is still in the hood for a shaker setup. The shaker is long gone. The car still has the original 31 spline staggered shock rear end with the original 3:50 gears in place. Also still in the car is the original deluxe tach dash. Most of the gauges have been disconnected and aftermarket Autometer gauges have been installed on the console and windshield pillar, ut the original gauge cluster is still installed and could be hooked back up if desired. The original Mach 1 clock still works.
This car has been restored by the previous owner that I purchased the car from. He had the car over 35 years and most of the work you see was done by him, nbsp;I have enjoyed this car for 3 years, ut find its time to let somebody else enjoy it. The car runs great and is a great driver car. The engine and tranny have less than 5000 miles on them since the restoration. The tranny was installed brand new at that time. Shifts great and has a hydraulic clutch. The engine does have a miss over 4500rpm and I have yet to determine if it is electrical or valve springs installed were too weak. I have enjoyed driving this car for 3 years, just dont get the rpms over 4500 and all is fine.
The body on this car is extremely solid. It was an out west car then garaged in Colorado for 35 years by the previous owner. The car has all the original sheet metal except for one fender and the inner fender apron. You can still see the original door tag in place. The car does have fabricated sub frame connectors and traction bars welded into the car body, o the floors were cut to install these. You can see these on the underneath pics - a nice job, ut a purist would cringe. The incorrect style rear window louvers have been removed and the correct style louvers installed. All pics are within the 3 years I have owned the car and show the current condition. 2 small dents in car. One in front fender and one in roof. Dents due items falling on it in the garage. Very minor and extremely solid car.
The suspension is all also brand new during the driver quality restoration. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, ll new grab a trac springs and shocks. The entire suspension is new with bushings, ear sway bar, raction bars, ew front suspension components, oxed in a-arms, tc. The car does not have power brakes or power steering. In my opinion it does not need power brakes as it stops great. But re-installing power steering would be nice as its a handful at parking lot speeds and below. The underneath is very solid and clean - pics show spots and dirt but its nice.
The drive train upgrades are electric fuel pump, ydraulic clutch, speed TKO 600, delbrock intake, delbrock water pump, emon 850 carb, eaders, .5" Magnaflow exhaust, oys wheels, itto tires, wheel disc brakes, luminum radiator, lectric fan, ew Optima battery, tc. I do not have the original parts that were replaced.
The interior is installed new when the restoration was done with new door panels, arpet, eadliner, nd a dash pad cap. The rear seat was made to fold down by the previous owner, ut no access to the trunk (car originally did not have a fold down seat). I took out the Summit front seats and installed Fiero seats with leather Mr Mikes seat covers and it looks great, lthough not original.
The paint is over 25 years old but is in great shape for a nice driver and cruise in car. I even won a trophy at a local Cincinnati Mustang Club car show. The car is by far perfect. It needs little things done to it. Its a 47 year old car!! List of some items it needs to improve it are a small tranny seal leak, rear axle seal leak, putters over 4500 rpm, ypical loose play in the steering. Enjoy as it is and tinker with it as you fix these items while you drive it Keep the mild restomod theme going, r restore this back to original - your choice. I've loved it just the way it is!
Lastly - the description and pictures are to give a general ideal of the car - PLEASE highly consider seeing the car IN PERSON before bidding. All bids are final and the deposit is NON-Refundable because I will have to pay eBAY fees and also relist the car and pay fees again. so please be a SERIOUS buyer if you push the button to bid. Come inspect the car before you bid. I live close to Cincinnati Ohio. We can take it out for a spin if the roads are not salted yet (I wont take it on the roads once they have been salted - so for they have not been). I am on some of the Mustang forums and 428CJ forum as JWScarab
Contact me with any questions or to set up a time to come see the car. I reserve the right to, nd will end this listing early, f the car sells locally.
Thank you and good luck!

The sentence reading "the car is by far perfect" was meant to read "the car is far from perfect" I cannot edit due to a bid. Thanks!

I have been asked about the block and paint so I will elaborate a little.
The block - the previous owner told me that the block was not the original 428 CJ block, nd that the crank and rods were still the original 428 CJ. I have not verified this as I have not had the engine out of the car nor pulled the pan.
The paint - how is the paint 25ish years old if the restoration is recent? When the car was restored it was carefully disassembled. The entire undercarriage, ngine bay, ngine, rive train, nd interior were painted and restored. The paint on the car was still in decent condition. The car was then reassembled and a clear coat was applied over the old paint. The paint still looks great for a driver or cruise in car - it gets tons of compliments.
The car is being sold as is with no warranty.
