The first unified performance package offered in the earliest Ford Mustangs was the GT Equipment Group, n array of features that consisted of manual front disc brakes, he Special Handling Package with stiffer springs, hocks and front stabilizer bar; quick ratio steering, hromed exhaust trumpets, ocker panel stripes, T emblems and fog lights. Ordering the GT Equipment Package required either the A-code 289/225 HP or the K-code 289/271 HP HiPo engine with stronger connecting rods with 3/8-inch bolts, hicker main bearing caps, solid lifter cam, crew-in rocker arm studs, achined valve spring seats,Autolite 4-barrel carburetor, ual point distributor and better manifolds. Its second owner purchased the car in Atlanta, eorgia, here it was subsequently stored for 11 years. This is a genuine K-code GT Fastback originally delivered with Raven Black paint and a Red Pony interior, oth new and now resorted. The original engine, org Warner Toploader 4-speed manual transmission and rear end have been rebuilt, nd a new Arvinode exhaust system installed for authenticity; the wiring system is also new. Optional extras include Rally Pack unit, ull-length console, inted glass, isibility Group, M radio and dual Redline tires on chromed styled steel wheels.
