Description of 1947 Ford Other Pickups

Up for auction is a Rare original condition 1947 1/2 ton Ford pickup truck. The fat fendered ford era trucks with the "jail bar" "waterfall "style grills are getting very hard find and this is a great example of one. Truck has belonged to the current owner for the last 15 years and had it painted about 10 years ago with a classic two toned single stage paint. Paint has a few blemishes but is very nice over all and has a nice shine especially for a driver. All chrome and stainless on the truck is in excellent condition and the bumpers are newer items. The bed wood has been restored to better than stock condition and is a a conversation starter when people stop to look at it. It has a lower mile 59 A flathead motor (20K) and 3 speed trans with factory floor shift. Lots of updates to the factory 6 volt wiring and newer battery/starter solenoid/brake light switch. Tires have cracking in the whitewall area but the tires are in fair condition with plenty of tread. The interior remains stock fashion although has new interior items such as seat covers and newer oil/temp/batt gauge cluster. Nice solid truck that rides like a dream and needs nothing to enjoy. This isnt a hotrodded toy or ratrod and has been maintained by and older gentaleman and all parts have been replaced with quality replacement parts and is a very nice vintage ford truck for its age although it does have a few squeaks and rattles. Shipping or pickup is your responsibility and a $500 nonrefundable deposit is required 24 hours after purchase so please bid responsibility and have funds ready (permission from wife). I can answer any questions and try to provide as many pictures as possible. Happy Bidding!
