Description of 1978 Ford F-250

I built this truck in 1999 from a factory 1978 short bed supercab F-100 Explorer 2 wheel drive which had 66k miles and virtually no rust. Installed four wheel drive and granny 4-speed from 1978 F250 organ donor. Rear spring hangers, rossmember, nd entire front frame is factory. F250 factory boxed frame slid inside c-channel 1/2 ton frame and was squared to the rear within 1/16 of an inch. Truck has been a daily driver for over 100k miles and is on the fourth set of tires. Trailmaster springs for 1978 F250, elvet ride rear shackles, actory drive shafts. Front and rear 4.10 posi gears completely redone during the build. 400 M engine completely rebuilt with Edelbrock intake, arb, nd camshaft. Every piece that needed rebuilding was done. Floor shift panel from donor truck, long with high output heater replaced the automatic and air conditioning.True dual exhaust, mittybuilt front bumper, ED fog lights, enwood stereo in dash with 6 disk cd changer under the seat, nd Infinity Kappa door speakers. Factory rubber floor mat and rear jump seats which fold up. Custom aluminum door panels. Added the 2011 F150 front seat last year. Brackets with sliders are mouted onto the factory 78 slider assembly, o it adjusts twice as much as normal. This helps access to the back seats. Rhino liner in bed, ith Dupont Starfire urethane paint all over. 17 x 9.5 aluminum wheels with PRO-COMP 12.5 X 37 mud radials with3/4 tread left. Too much to list, ut truck still drives good with lots of power. Factory power steering, ower disk brakes in front, eater, nd all work as they should. DUI distributor and wires are only a couple of years old, nd carb was replaced then, oo. This is the closest thing to a factory F250 4-wheel drive that I have ever seen. Has wear from daily driving and pulling trailers occasionly. Ask questions if I need to clarify anything. Included a picture of the right rear wheelwell. I repaired the rust in the corner by cutting it out, sing POR-15, nd pop-riveting the patch panel in place this time. Now it can be removed and cleaned out once in a while. And the this square of wood on the rear quarter is my 4x4 emblem.
