Bar none. this is the most sought after combination. This car checks off all those boxes and adds in Candy Apple Red paint. Black interior. 15" Styled Steel Wheels all in a freshly done package. We were lucky enough to get this one from a long-term owner. Many receipts and documents were provided including engine & transmission rebuild. general maintenence. etc. These are included with the sale of the car along with the Marti Report. The body of this Mustang is gorgeous with a fresh repaint in Candy Apple Red that was just wet-sanded & buffed to a beautiful shine. The bumpers & trim are all in good condition. As far as rust goes. this car is truly amazing. The floors still wear their original red oxide with the factory overspray of Lime Gold. We see no obvious signs of any rust repair or prior collision damage on the car. The undercarriage was steam cleaned to show the original metal and excellent condition. however it was not detailed. Consider this one a nice sunny day driver. Great for weekend shows and cruizes. Easily nice enough for showing. but not a trailer queen. Inside the interior has just been treated to new carpet. front seat upholstery. dash bezels and more. It presents extremely well and was factory optioned with a full length floor console. Under the hood the 390 has been detailed to a very high level. The valve covers and air cleaner chrome are new and shine like crazy. The engine appears stock from the outside but internally has been upgraded with a larger camshaft for a perfect Muscle Car Note and some extra Horsepower. We have receipts for a complete engine & transmission rebuild that dates back to the 80's. The previous. long-term. owner states that the mileage is approximately 30k. Originally optioned with a 4-Speed transmission that makes the most of the 390's plentiful torque & horsepower. This transmission wears its original VIN stamping. which is rare as Ford typically did not stamp these. The factory shifter has been replaced with a more precise Hurst Competition Plus shifter. The transmission shifts well and the clutch works smoothly. With Power Steering and Power Front Disc Brakes. this GT drives easily and confidently. With the GT springs. large front sway bar and an aftermarket rear sway bar. this Big Block will actually turn corners without drama. The 9" limited-slip differential helps keep the BFG's planted.
