This car came originally with a 390 police interceptor engine and is a 3 on the tree car. It is hard to find any vintage real police vehicle anymore but to find a 2 door post stick car? I've never seen another one. In doing some research on the car we believe it served with the Oregon State Patrol back in the day. We found this car stored in a barn in Oregon and is a classic story. It sat in a tow yard for years and then somebody decided they wanted the original solid lifter interceptor engine. It got put into a Ford truck and now it's gone. The good news is that the original transmission is still with the car as well as all the column linkage. Z-Bar and driveshaft. The car has a very solid frame but has the usual floor pan and trunk rust. It had a slight hit to the back so it will need a new trunk lid and bumper but it should pull out pretty easily. This has been a Northwest car all it's life and nobody uses salt around here. We buffed one part of the 1/4 panel and the original paint looked new. The patina on this car is just cool too. the little faded paint on the fenders and roof look really cool. You can see where the whip antenna was on the 1/4 panel as well. We are also working on getting a parts car for it that will be available for extra at the end of the auction. We have this car for sale locally and reserve the right to pull the auction at any time. Please e-mail us to set up an appointment to see the car. Feel free to ask any questions about the car. The car is located in Shelton. Washington. which is about an hour and a half south of Seattle. Washington and about the same north of Portland. Oregon. Every effort has been made to make an accurate description of this car. but some things were probably missed. This is a great restoration project but it is a project. We accept Money Orders. Cashier's Check. or Wire Transfer. A $500. 00 nonrefundable deposit must be made within 48 hours of the auction ending. Payment must be made within fourteen days of the auction finishing. The car must be either shipped or picked up within thirty days of the auction finishing. We reserve the right to end the auction and cancel bids at anytime as the car is for sale locally. Lots of good options to ship this one to you including just driving it home! It is a fantastic road trip vehicle. Some other good options are DAS Shippers. uShip and Central Dispatch.
