Chromed original style Ford grille with crank hole, chromed radiator cap with Ford logo, chromed original style dropped headlight bar with Ford V8 trademark re-fabricated for a high boy installation with shock absorber mounts sporting period correct Guide Lamp Co. 682C style headlights with turn signals (real hot rodders don’t have to ask about Guide Lamp Co. 682C’s…). All the best parts were used in this build - no shortcuts, steel suicide doors click shut solidly with stock handles, correct unchopped body with perfectly fitted roof filler piece, roll-down rear window, fully functional swing opening front windshield, outside top of door chrome rear view mirrors, period correct 1937 style bullet taillights, chrome Cragar SS mag wheels, fully functional cowl vent, electric wiper, Vintage Air heater with functioning defrosters, 32 Ford boxed chassis, front suspension is a Ford chromed drop axle with chromed hairpins, rear axle has QAE QA-1 (Carrera) coilovers, and a stainless fuel tank. Power is genuine FORD with all engine work done by Danbury Competition Engines, legendary for their road racing, circle track and drag racing engines (producing several NHRA & IHRA national records including the fastest naturally aspirated Ford Top Dragster), using a classic Ford Windsor engine (like they used in the 60’s), stroked to 383 c.i. dyno’d at 486 hp, Edlebrock Performer RPM heads, Dual Edlebrock “Thunder Series” 500 cfm 4bbl carbs sitting on an aluminum Edlebrock Performer RPM air gap intake, MSD Blaster 2 coil with MSD distributor, Milodon oil pan, electric cooling fan, Walker Cobra Z all copper/brass “max cool” radiator and Sanderson Ceramic coated headers connected to a hand fabricated mirror finish stainless steel exhaust system with side turnuts professionally blended into the rear body. THREE PEDALS – (real hotrods don’t have automatic transmissions …) drivetrain is a five speed Tremec with a classic style Ford shifter, McLeod clutch and flywheel housing transmit power to a Ford 9 inch Winters positraction differential with 4:10 gears. Electrical system all done by hand with QuickWire and GM Weatherpack connecters, professionally mounted with easy, quick access behind a drop panel in the trunk. Panasonic digital stereo sound system with a custom built swing down mount which stows away up under the dash keeping the stock interior original clean look. INTERIOR was designed and installed by FlyBoyz Street Rod Designs (credits include 2003 Detroit Autorama “Best Interior” award, Rod & Custom’s Top 100 pick, Street Rodder’s top 10 pick,) finished in a period correct narrow roll & pleat design in classic fire engine red and matterhorn white colors.
