Description of 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor

Up for sale is this gorgeous 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor with a Removable Fastback Roof. You will turn heads and be the "talk of the town" everywhere you go! The car went through a restoration 1 year ago - both the engine and transmission were rebuilt and have less than 3. 00 miles on them. The engine is a super strong 351 Windsor with numerous upgrades including a polished high rise 4 Barrel intake/ Edelbrock carburetor. high flow electric fuel pump. aluminum big block radiator/dual electric fan and 351 Windsor conversion long tube headers with 2 ½ exhaust. The transmission is a world class T-5 with a brand new clutch and flywheel. It has a cable type clutch conversion with a smooth ball bearing clutch (Mustang Steve Conversions). The car is equipped with a modern power steering using the Shelby steering ration with a Borgeson power steering pump. It has power disc brakes with Cobra front disc brakes and disc brakes on the 373 ratio Positrack 8. 8 rear end. Eleanor wheels with new Sumitomo low profile tires. The floorboards are in great shape and the torque boxes and frame are solid. The interior (carpet. seat-belts. dash pad. door panels and gauge bezels) is new or in great shape including the Shelby aluminum brushed dash panels. The seats are brand new TMI sport seat II. they appear somewhat ‘stock’ at first but they offer a superior design and fit your body like a glove. The stereo is a Route 66 with amp pre-outs and MP3/iPod/iPhone hookup and the ashtray has been re-purposed as a docking station for your listening device. The soft-top is a power top and works perfectly (video available upon request); the canvas. frame and seals are all new. The paint is a fresh base coat of Pewter Silver with Black Stripes. As you can see from the pics and video (available upon request). the clear coat has been cut and buffed and it shows like glass. Most of the chrome and stainless is new or in very good shape. This car really moves --- in the video. I was burnin’ rubber on both tires for 30 feet and had to let off because I ran out of room but it will burn the tires in second gear. Feel free to come and visit and take it for a spin*. it won't disappoint. Below are common questions regarding the removable top: How is the roof attached? Weighing approximately 75 pounds. the roof can be removed/installed in less than 2 minutes. It’s secured by two bolts in the front and two wing nuts in the rear. There is a metal header attached to the roof. On this metal header. there are two tinnerman nuts (mustang fender nut clips) - the two bolts go thru the mustang convertible sun visor bracket dowel pin guide hole and thread into the tinnerman nuts. these work well because they are easily replaced if they strip. Does the roof leak? The fiberglass roof (up front) has a gasket that sits on the windshield stainless steel trim. The remainder of the top is lined with weather-stripping which will keep most of the water and wind noise out. however if the car is taken to a car wash. and the pressure washer is aimed at the roof to body lines. or the window to roof lines. some water will get in. just like any old Mustang. Where can I buy a roof? Search for "Removable Fastback Roof" on eBay or you can call Ralph from Goldco Fiberglass at 801-397-2345 to order. Can the trunk be opened with the top on? No. The trunk cannot be opened with the roof on. *The car is available anytime for inspection and a test drive with proof of money. Please make arrangements before the auction ends. The closest airport is ECP (Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport). Videos are available upon request. Please feel free to call or text Jamie. 801-388-1292.
