Description for Ford Bronco 1966

Reserve lowered  4 Sale. 1966 Early Ford Bronco that is smog exempt due to age . it's 48 year old.  This is a west coast truck and is rust free. any and all rust issues of any kind addressed in medal work before paint . New  B/Clear coat paint that was color sanded twice and buffed to a high gloss finish "painted inside and out" = See Photos. This Bronco was built to drive and enjoy as they should be. Bronco is very sharp looking and will turn every head in town driving in it. It's a very nice looking Bronco and can be taken to local car shows if that's your thing! No body damage. No dents. No rust and the body and paint look's great. One very small paint nick at lower edge window frame driver side. Bronco look's very cool with hard top off and full open cage look. Roll cage installed after all new floor pans installed. Roll cage also supported on bottom side to frame rails. Inside pans treated and sealed then dino max sound deadner installed to limit any reduce road noise. Inside floors then fitted with 1/4 inch thick rubber mat cut and fitted to keep every thing nice for many years to come. Nice high back bucket seats and seat belts with shoulder belts installed to cage not floor pans. Painless wiring installed and fuse box moved to glove box area for easy access and better viewing. Stainless dash panel and gauge's package installed center of dash for better driving viewing. "stock gauge cluster very small hard to read" The center gauge panel will also remove for fast easy access behind dash if needed. Heater works - wiper work - dash lights work. High beam low beam - tail lights - brake lights all work. No back up light's in 66 - add a rear spot light if you really need one. The temp gauge - volts - gas gauge and oil gauge all work and read correct. Bronco was fitted with a 3 inch pro comp suspension lift. Coil and shock on the front . New c cups and front end parts. Front end set correct tracks nice! A f-150 power steering box added make's it very easy to drive and Bronco handles nice - no slop in steering. New power brake booster - power disc brakes of front - factory drum brakes on rear - it stop's straight and on a dime. No wheel pull when stopping.  E - brake also works!  E brake updated to a pull type hand E -brake between front seat. "Roll bar was in the way of stock foot brake working"  Bronco sits on 35 inch tall tires 12. 5 wide on steel black out 15 inch wheels. The rear end of the Bronco is fitted with a Ford 9 inch and updated to 4 link suspension. Rear end has coil spring's and larger shocks for greater shock travel on the rear. Ride's nice and much softer ride than heavy leaf pack in rear - It also look's cool = See Photo's  Leaf pack rear springs can also be re installed or added if you don't like softer nicer 4 link ride. Truck was built with the pre runner style in mind. Gas tank was moved from rear bottom side and re located inside to rear floor area under platform. Platform can be used to stand on when hunting or storage of off road tire or camping goods. My grandson sits on it when ridding in rear. Again pre runner look. If you don't like the rear gas tank set up inside. Not an big issue it can be moved back under bottom side to original factory location. I will also give the buyer everything new still in the box required in re install factory gas tank back under bottom side. Buyer will get new rear factory gas tank. new filler parts. lines and hoses. new mounting hardware and even sending unit and cap. That's everything needed to install the gas tank back to the rear. Or just add it and have two tanks!  All new gas tank part's in box $500 of new stuff.  The current rear tank and platform in rear can be removed in under 5 min if you want it out of the rear. Telling ya people like the tank set up just as it is. Give's it that very off road look!  The motor is a Ford V8 302 fitted with aluminum intake - 4 bbl carb electric choke. Headers - Duel exhaust - MSD spark box. Same motor Ford used in the early classic mustang. Motor is reliable turn key and go! and motor sounds great new mufflers it has side dump exhaust on it at this time - dump tips could be bigger thinking it would look better. It also has a lot of room on the bottom side - to run the exhaust out the rear if you like that style better.  Tight motor - No rattles when cold start - No heat up issue's - run;s 180 deg in hot weather. 40 lb oil pressure  - No leaks under this Bronco other than very small leak in area of rear main seal. Not worth even addressing or replacing at this time. Very common on the small block ford motor's.  The motor is backed by a Ford 4 speed manual transmission with a granny low if you want to crawl over something off road. 4 speed has good sincro's - no grind on down shift. It's a heavy duty Ford truck transmission they don't break. It's the same 4 speed you will find used in most classic Broncos. Same transmission Ford used in every 4 speed pick up truck in the mid 70. All the 4 wheel drive parts under this Bronco in great working order. Bronco has factory Dana 30 front end with new locking hubs. Factory Bronco Dana 20  4 wheel drive transfer case with single stick that moves easy in and out of 4 wheel drive - no bind. No leaks in transmission or rear end - front end - transfer case. No leaks axle seals - brake seals. The big money has been spent and new owner can drive it "as it sit's today" or make future little changes as they see fit. I left a a lot of room in the low reserve price for the new owner to customize to the need's they may have. Bronco has been driven 5. 00 miles so the bottom side of Bronco has also been cleaned and just re detailed so it look nice for the new owner =See Photo's. Bronco just serviced - it's ready to enjoy. Bronco is Garaged in Las Vegas at this time - Buyers more than welcome to inspect vehicle in person if you can make it to the Las Vegas area. I have nothing to hide "it is -what it is" and it's a very nice Bronco. Yes the paint has the same shine and gloss you see in the photo's - no photo lab ! This Bronco is production number 4. 00 of the first made. Bronco still has a lot of the rare hard to find original parts on it that a lot of Bronco guy search hard for. It has the 1966 rare eyebrow grill - original waterfall tail gate - original metal hood with 1966 window lock down if you want to fold down the front window when the hard top is off. Original 90 deg fill plug on front end -  1966 pencil style dash knobs - 1966 also had the no side marker fenders - original side plate under driver seat without logo . The original factory Vin plate is still in place on driver side lower kick plate . Never removed original to truck. "The 1966 Ford Bronco is the only year the factory installed the vin tag on the lower driver side kick plate. All other years the metal Vin plate was inside glove box.  Original factory Vin number is on frame 'top of frame passenger side just below fire wall. Original frame and original body - not a miss match body frame. Bronco is being re listed. It had 40 bids first time listed with high bid in the mid 20 range. The reserve was set much higher than that. So I'm re listing the Bronco and have lowered the reserve "maybe to low". So bid to own ! Reserve was lowered over 5. 00 less than first listed. Family said sell it to much going on. My son is not in town at this time to help me out with the sale.
