Thank you! 1940 FORD 2 DOOR SEDAN I am pleased to offer this beautiful 1940 Ford standard 2 Door Sedan. This Ford was sold new in Murfreesboro. Tennessee and has remained there all of its life so it has always been a southern car. This Ford is powered by a 221 cubic inch flathead that has been dressed nicely and runs great. It has a whole new fuel system including the fuel tank. fuel lines. fuel pump. fuel regulator and a new carb. Needless to say it runs great. The clutch and transmission perform with excellence. The trans shifts without grinding and does not pop out of gear like so many of them do. The undercarriage is clean and there are no rust issues. Please see the pictures. I have also pictured the bowels of the trunk to show it is rust free and contains the tools The body is just about perfect. One side of the hood needs an adjustment and the rubber molding for the trunk needs to be glued. The molding is new. The paint is a beautiful light gray and appears to be period correct. Just about all of the chrome is new. New bumpers. perfect bumper braces. new tail lamps. new head light surrounds. new grill center and latch. and a new trunk latch. All of the glass is nice. The correct 16 inch wide whites are near new and mounted on original rims with original hubcaps. The interior has been all redone to a very high standard. This is an outstanding car that is priced far below what 40 Fords bring and it is a turn key car meaning it is ready for the cruises or shows.
