Just finished, complete ground-up restoration. An absolutely stunning 1965 Mustang Fastback with a very rare Poppy Red color (65 is the only year for Fastbacks with this color) and true also very rare in the Fastbacks, 200 I-6 survivor. Almost everything on the car has been replaced with newer better items, including upgraded safety where possible. This cars needs nothing and is ready to be driven. In great mechanical working order and no leaks of any kind. The NADA Value is approximately $41,000.

Car is so much fun to drive and the amount of people who take your picture while driving or compliment the car is crazy, just an all-around unforgettable ride.


-Car had been sitting in a barn untouched since 1987, previous owner inherited it from a family member and never got around to restoring it. It was an excellent restoration candidate.

-Original 1965 200 ci Inline 6

-Original C4 Automatic Transmission

-All new 4 drum brakes and components (4 lug for 6 cylinder)

-New front and rear Torque boxes (65 didn’t have front torque boxes, I added for safety and strength)

-1 inch square tubing running down left and right side underneath car (added for safety and strength)

-New Dynacorn Driver and Passengers doors (newer version with core support added for safety and strength)

Engine, Driveline & Exhaust


-Original 1965 6 cylinder engine that runs great.

-1 BBL Carburetor is rebuilt and is in excellent working order

-New period correct Fuel Pump, w/ new stainless steel Fuel lines, and glass fuel filter

-Fully synthetic – 10w30 Royal Purple oil

- All new exhaust system w/ new mounting brackets, except for stock Headers which was painted silver with header paint

-New Alternator & Voltage regulator

-Rebuilt water pump

-New Battery with new Scott Drake terminator connections

-Original Radiator with all new FOMOCO hoses

-Rear end is original to the 1965 Mustang 4 lug – fluid changed (great working condition)

-New Fuel Tank, sender, gaskets & neck and all new mounting Hardware

-Transmission shifts great and has been serviced with new chrome pan with drain plug, pan gasket, pan screen, new vacuum modular and new “Type F” transmission fluid

-After all rust repairs were made, entire interior of car as well as underneath the car and the engine bay were painted with a thick coat of 3M black rust inhibitor paint

-Exterior - 2k Urethane Primer – 3 coats

-All new Paint - Top Coat – Factory Poppy Red followed by multiple layers of Clear Coat

Suspension (Great working condition & very tight)


-New Scott Drake Shocks

-New 1 inch drop Coil springs

-Someone converted the gauge cluster to the 1966 Gauge Cluster

Things to note; (No surprises)

-I do not know the original mileage of the car as someone a few year back converted the gauges from 1965 “square” cluster to 1966 “circular” cluster. – Everything on the 1966 Cluster works excellent. The engine is in excellent working condition.

-The title is a 1965 Mustang Fastback Clear NJ Title in my name
