Description of 1967 Ford Mustang

HistoryThis is Your chance to own one of the most iconic cars of all time. Up for sale is this absolutely beautiful and near perfect 67 fastback. I am the second owner of this meticulously restored and maintained beauty. I have owned the car since 1980. The restoration work was completed around 2001. The car has been stored since that time seeing the light of day only for an occasional trip around the block or car show. It has seen less than 2000 miles since the restoration. It still looks as though the restoration was just completed. The original owner bought the car in may of 1966 from Dunton Ford in Santa Ana California. He was a returning Marine and he and the car resided at El Toro California. I have all of the original paperwork on the car. including sales contracts. owners cards. temporary license. and tons of maintenance receipts. The original owner did not like the stripes that came with the GT's. so he ordered the car with the heavy duty suspension and deluxe interior to get a GT equipped car without the stripes and badging. One of the nicest cars that I have ever owned. Truly investment quality. RestorationThe restoration of the car took five years to complete. The car was completely disassembled and every nut and bolt was painstakingly stripped and reconditioned to factory specs. The car's body was media blasted to bare metal and the paint was applied to all panels inside and out. The original color of Dark Moss Green was darkened slightly creating a unique deeper color. The undercarriage and floor pans are all original with factory drips and over spray. All components of the suspension and drive train were rebuilt and or detailed to factory specs. The car had no rust issues and having all original components made for a beautiful and correct final product. The Deluxe Interior still wears the original dash pad and overhead and center console. that are both perfect. The front seats were re-upolstered. but the rear seat and carpet on the fold down are original and in new condition. The original carpet and door panels have been replaced. The 390 engine is original to the car. s is the 4 speed toploader transmission. The engine was rebuilt to factory specs with the exception of the camshaft and lifters. The camshaft is 428 specs and the lifters are Rhodes performance series. The distributor is also 428. though looking original in appearance. The car also has the correct "S"code intake manifold and concourse correct 4-barrel carb. Car has original heavy duty front disk brakes. and heavy duty suspension. and rides on Gabriel 3-way adjustable shocks. The front and rear springs were replaced with new units from Mustangs Plus. nbsp;that lowered the car 1 inch. This makes the car look great. without looking altered. I also added an export brace to stiffen the flex in the front end. easily replaced if you are a purist. The car does not have power steering. which I think is a blessing. I replaced the steering box with a close ratio box which tightened the feel a bit. I prefer this setup to the power steering cars that just don't give you the same feel of the road. The car rides on 15x7 styled steel wheels with 235/60/15 tires. Though not original they look great and again. can be easily changed if you are a purist.
