Description of 1953 Ford F-100

1953 Ford F100This is an original NM truck with a clean NM title. The truck was purchased from the 2nd owner. It runs and drives great and start right up. It has an overall solid cab and solid rust free frame. The body is about 95% rust free. The only know rust is on the two rear cab corners which I have posted pictures below showing the areas needing attention. As far as the motor:- Ford 302 V8- Holley 4 barrel Carburator- New plugs and Wires-12 volt converted- new wiring for headlight andtaillights- New alternator- dual exhaust with Flow masters** Automatic Ford transmissio, with floor mount shifter. The motor runs strong and does not leak or smoke. The paint job is new and looks good. It is not a super high dollar paint job, it does have some flaws to be perfect. The original tailgate was a little beat and shows some wear from 63 years of work as a truck! There are some other little areas that could of used some better body work, but over all it looks great and shines up nice!Other things that are updated recently:- Brand new tires about a week old- New upholstery and foam on original bench seat- New carpet and padding- New rear glass with new gasket from Bob Drake Ford parts- New passenger and drivers glass- New weather stripping on driver and passenger doors It will need new rubber around the two vent windows to be perfect, old weather strip on triangle windows worn out.It has after market temp, oil pressure, voltage gauges that work. The speedometer does not currently work.It has the original drum brakes and steering. Does not have power steering. The truck is an overall surviver 62 year old classic truck from New Mexico, that has spent all its life in the dry southwest. It needs little things to be a perfect truck, but is can be driven daily and looks great!
