You are bidding on a beautiful Super-solid ALL STEEL FORD BODY restored 1947 Ford 1-ton “CUSTOM” panel truck. This Panel is in great super solid condition and is basically Turn Key. Fly in and Drive this home! This Ford was restored in 2008 with lots of custom touches. The Driveline is GM with a rebuilt performance Oldsmobile 455ci motor and Turbo 350 transmission. The motor has a great rumble and runs perfectly. The body, floors and frame are in super clean condition. The grey metallic paint just glows in the sun. Custom interior includes VDO gauges, floor shifter, heater, aftermarket stereo system, custom wood floor in the bed area, full headliner and leather seats. Tilt column with custom wheel. Modern rack and pinion steering has been added with modern control arms and disc brakes up front. This truck drives very nicely and has great road manners on the highway.

This is a rare classic vehicle with a low reserve to protect some of its value. Bid retractions are not accepted. Retracting your bid for an incorrect amount without entering a corrected amount is a clear attempt to reveal the Reserve as well as a violation of eBay policy. We block bidders who violate this policy and also report the violation to eBay. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale.

The Oldsmobile 455ci motor appears to have been rebuilt around 8 years ago and has an aluminum intake manifold, holley carb, chrome alternator and HEI ignition. Motor is performance-built and it’s no dog! It’s actual pretty quick for a big truck. The motor runs perfectly with no unusual noises, smoke or even leaks. The Turbo 350 transmission shifts smoothly and operates perfectly. The rearend looks to be a Ford 9” with 3:73 or 4:11 gears by the rpm. The gears do whine under load, probably needs to be set up correctly. Not sure if anything was ever done to the rearend. Electric fans were added to aid in cooling. I drove this truck without any overheating issues!

The body is super-straight, very clean and just a light surface coating of rust like something you would see from down south. The truck had 42,000 miles on it prior to the customization so it’s a really clean solid truck. The Body looks original with no apparent body panel replacements. Doors, rockers, and floors look super-solid and original. Same goes for the frame! Super clean with no scale or repairs. Body is really straight and nice-looking with no dents or damage. Paint is nice and shiny and is a driver-quality paint job. Wet sanding and buffing would bring out the depth of the paint but it looks very nice as is. The paint does have a couple of chips, 1 crack (pictured) passenger-side roof in rear, and a couple of small blended areas where the metallic doesn’t match correctly. The bed floor is a custom hardwood inlay that’s looks brand new. Full headliner was installed. Nice leather seats from a truck or van were used. No rips or tears in the seats. Dash has VDO gauge with working odometer and speedo. Directionals, headlights, brake lights and marker lights all work. All doors and windows do operate as they should. All of the glass is in good condition with no chips or damage. There are aftermarket headlights installed. Rims look close to new. Tires are in really nice condition with lots of tread. Matching spare is mounted on the side. A painted-to-match hood with unrestored trim pieces do go with the truck. Note: For shipping the hood will be laid on the body or stored in the back if it will fit. There are no assembled hood hinges to attach the hood. A box of hood hinge parts will go with truck.

Again, the owner is deceased and any info above is from my own observation and from what receipts there were.

This truck does need a couple of minor repairs… temp gauge is not working, exhaust rubber hanger broke, and shifter neutral safety switch needs adjusting for starting. You have to move the shifter towards reverse to get it to start.

Car comes with one set of factory keys and clear Ohio title stating 42,000 Actual miles. Aftermarket odometer has been installed with 6,094 miles showing on the odometer. Depending on your state, they make look at the mileage and list yours as a discrepancy but this was the mileage on the original odometer prior to the customization.

This truck has a Reese hitch.

Comes with both surfboards as pictured.

There are a vast amount of receipts including a receipt for the paint with the paint code. There are manuals for some of the equipment that was installed. There is also a box of miscellaneous parts that will go with the truck including the hood hinge assemblies. There are no extra parts other than what is pictured it that box.

I realize that it is difficult to purchase a vehicle you may not be able to inspect in person. I build vehicles too – so I try to show you everything I would want to see if I was buying a vehicle for myself. As you can see by my feedback (100% positive), I describe my vehicles accurately. I have sold other vehicles on eBay to happy buyers worldwide so you can be confident when making a purchase.

I have made my best effort to accurately represent the car based on my expertise as a vehicle builder, what I have observed in evaluating it and preparing it for sale, and what I have been told by the owner, but this is the extent of my knowledge. Please ask questions before bidding! This is being solid AS IS with no warranty or guarantees and is up to the buyer to verify any and all info listed above in the description! This vehicle is also for sale locally. You are welcome to arrange a viewing of this vehicle. Again, this is a classic vehicle that has been driven and enjoyed. It’s not perfect or a museum piece so there may be minor imperfections in the body, brite work and glass. Anything to note is listed above.

Terms: Contact must be made by the buyer within 48 hours and a non-refundable $500 Paypal deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction close, balance due within 7 days of auction close as cash or bank wire only. No trades.

Due to space limitations and other upcoming auctions, buyer MUST take possession within 7 days of auction close unless other arrangements are agreed upon. I can store this vehicle for $125 a month (in advance) if you need time to make affordable shipping arrangements. Paid storage is in a dry, heated, secure indoor location. I do not finance. No trade or barter.

I am not responsible for any fees, or taxes or any out-of-pocket costs. Buyer is responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered. No warranty, sold as is.

Shipping is the Buyer’s responsibility. I will not ship but will work with your shipping company. A list of contact information for some of the shipping companies previous Buyers have used can be provided upon request for your quotation and shipping needs. Pick-up arrangements (by the Buyer or the shipping company) must be coordinated in advance to insure my availability since I am often in and out on business. Local delivery may be possible within 200 miles of zip code 44056 for an extra charge. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and related arrangements and payments. Vehicle must be paid in full before it leaves my premises.

Insurance: I highly recommend that the buyer put insurance on the vehicle upon purchase as I am not responsible for any damage incurred after leaving my premises.

Good luck and happy bidding!
