Description of 1962 Ford F-100 Pickup

I've had this truck since the '90's. In '99 I pulled it off the road due to the differential housing gasket leaking. Now. it hasn't been sitting since '99. I start it up occasionally and use it for jobs around the property. So it’s not one of those “ran when parked” deals. It runs. moves. and stops right now. Four wheel drive works fine too. Title is clear and in my name. Current non-op status with the DMV so no back fees. 1962 Ford F100 4X4351C with Edelbrock 4bbl carb & manifold. dual exhaust. (Mufflers. One muffler has a loose baffle in it that rattles at idle. Done that since I got the truck. )4 speed. Warn hubs. Power NOTHING. this is a Real Truck! Has: surface rust. but not too much body rust. Worst spot is driver’s side floorboard. See pics. Redneck body repairs. fiberglass mat over the door mirror mounts. carriage bolts on the lower fender corners. Various dings and screw/bolt holes on doors. Tach & fuel gauge do not work. Speedometer does. also has aftermarket gauges that work well. Brakes work fine. Clutch is good. Heater/Defroster is good. All glass is good. Rear differential leaks. (Gasket. have replacement. )40 Channel Uniden CBBed is really straight. inside and out including the tailgate. One rust spot under the r/s tail light. Odometer shows 07137. X on it if you care. but who knows how many times it’s rolled over. Been doing some work on it in my spare time lately. changed the oil and filter. gas filters. cleaned up all the unnecessary wiring under the hood from past POs. Replaced the old Holley carb with a new Edelbock. (Runs great. but seems to be a bit rich. might want to dial it in better. ) Full tune up. plugs. wires. cap. rotor. coil. points and condenser. & ballast. Used all good name stuff. Autolite. Standard. Excel. etc. None of that Dura-Junk and Econo-Garbage the stores push now. Greased the chassis. checked all the gear oil levels minus the rear axle. transmission and front axle were good. transfer case took a little to top off. To sum up the needs: Differential gasket install. turn signal cam. lots of body work. and a new owner. Will need a water pump eventually. the weep hole is seeping some. This is a PROJECT TRUCK. you will NOT be able to jump in it and drive into the wild blue yonder with it. With 1999 tags on the plates and a very low on oil rear end it's a toss up whether you will be on the side of the road with a seized axle or in the pokey with an impounded vehicle. Or both. In other words. BRING A TRAILER! LOL. This old Ford would make a nice father-son project; either restore it or just go wheeling. Be sure to check out the “Slick60s” website. the go-to site on this generation Ford pickup. ’61-66. lots of good info and people there and you can see my truck there too under my moniker “ToughOldFord” Remember. you are bidding to own; not to just check it out. If you would like to view it before bidding. contact me and we’ll make arrangements. I’m going to try to link a video of it running to this ad. I apologize in advance for the racket. my camera seems to enhance noise so it sounds like an army tank in the video. but its actually pretty quiet. I do have the hood badges. I just took them off because I was hoping to sand and primer the hood. but I have not gotten to it yet. Buyer can also have the few extras I have for it if they want them. a few extra wheels. a big old hillbilly push bumper. a chrome instrument panel cover. I am planning on keeping the toobox. but if the buyer must have it I’ll leave it on. It’s nothing special. leaks and doesn’t lock. but I’ve had it for a long time. Whew. I think that covers everything. but if I missed something feel free to contact me. Happy bidding and God Bless!
