Description of 1966 Ford Bronco BASE SURVIVOR

1966 UNCUT FORD BRONCO HALF CAB 4X4

THE PICTURES ARE WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS. EVERY PANEL THAT IS PAINTED WITH GREEN ETCHING PRIMER HAS BEEN TAKEN DOWN TO THE BARE METAL (NO BONDO)! THE HOOD IS A NEW (GOODMARK) REPRO. YOU CAN HAVE THE ORIGINAL HOOD, BUT THE WINDSHIELD EITHER CAME DOWN ON THE HOOD, OR THE HOOD FLEW UP. EITHER WAY IT WAS MORE COST EFFECTIVE TO BUY A NEW HOOD. ALL GLASS IS GOOD.

THE TRUCK ORIGINALLY CAME FROM COLORADO AND BOUGHT FROM A MAN IN MISSOURI. IT HAS A GOOD OPEN MO TITLE. I HAVE HAD A FEW OF THESE BRONCO'S AND NEVER HAD ONE THIS RUST FREE EVER! I BOUGHT IT AS A PROJECT. IT WAS TOTALLY TAKEN APART. THE MAN STARTED STRIPPING OFF THE 4 LAYERS OF PAINT EXCEPT FOR THE ROOF AND TAILGATE (PAINTED WITH A RATTLE CAN). ONLY ONE PATCHPIECE FOUND ON DRIVER'S ROCKER THAT WAS NOT TOTALLY WELDED SOLID. THE MAN BOUGHT A NEW CORE SUPPORT AND LEFT INNER FENDER. I SEEN THE ORIGINALS AND ASKED WHY HE REPLACED THEM. A LITTLE HAMMER AND DOLLY WORK WOULD HAVE FIXED IT. HE SAID HE WAS NO BODYMAN SO HE BOUGHT NEW.FLOORS LOOK NEW!

ORIGINAL DRIVE TRAIN. ENGINE WAS REBUILT SOME TIME AGO WITH HARDENED VALVE SEATS. RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD WITH 40PSI OIL PRESSURE AT IDLE. 4X4 WORKS GREAT. ONLY LEAK I CAN FIND IS THE FRONT PINION SEAL IS SEAPING ONLY. FRESH TUNE AND READY TO DRIVE.

HEADLIGHTS AND HIGHBEEMS WORK, TURN SIGNALS, BRAKE LIGHTS, OIL PRESSURE GAUGE, TEMP, AND ALT GAUGES WORK. FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT, ALTHOUGH IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A NEW SENDING UNIT INSTALLED. PASSENGER ARM REST IS MISSING, BUT THERE IS A NEW ONE THAT IS FOR THE WRONG YEAR INCLUDED. R. TAIL LIGHT IS SOLID AND L. HAS A BACK UP LENS. I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE IS CORRECT FOR THE TRUCK.

THE BRONCO HAD OLD DRY CRACKED WHITEWALL TIRES ON IT. I JUST PUT NEW GOODYEARS ALL AROUND. ALL FLUIDS ARE TOPPED OFF AND EVERYTHING THAT CAN BE GREASED IS GREASED. HEATER CORE IS BY-PASSED BECAUSE OF A SMALL LEAK ON THE FLOOR BOARD. IT WILL NEED A NEW HEATER CORE AND BLOWER MOTOR CHECKED OUT.

ROLL BAR IS JUST SITTING IN THE BED. I TOOK IT OUT, BUT IF YOU WANT IT, IT GOES WITH. CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS. THIS IS A EASY WINTER PROJECT THAT COULD EASILY DOUBLE YOUR MONEY OR FINISH IT THE WAY YOU WANT AND ENJOY! THANKS, MIKE 479-238-1122
