Description of 1926 Ford Model T

Up for auction is this 1926 Model T Roadster Pickup. As you can see it is in need of total restoration. It does start and run. The chassis is actually in pretty good shape. The frame is nice. The engine runs but when cold needs starting fluid to start. It is flooding out from sitting. Once started and running for a couple of minutes it starts normally. The transmission and rear end work good also. I have field driven it many times over the last few years. Please note I am not saying it does not need mechanical work. I am saying that you can hear it start. nbsp;run and move around somewhat. It is not a body work only restoration but it does run. The motor doesn't smoke oil smoke and it sounds pretty. No rods knocking or anything serious. It has been in my garage for over four years. The cowl. bucket. hood. and radiator shroud are all metal. The bed looks like it has been shortened about 6 inches and the tail gate is welded shut. The bucket and doors have some body filler in them in the lower sections but are very restorable. I have extra parts including new front and rear fiberglass fenders. I have a complete set of metal fenders that need repaired but could be used. I have other miscellaneous parts including axles. a couple of engine blocks and heads. crankshaft. and several other parts which may be useful. I do have a title for the vehicle. This car is in good enough mechanical condition that I wanted to restore it originally but I have never done anything to it so I’ve decided to let someone else have it. It would be a great street rod project but I didn’t want to chop it up since it was close enough to restore. Presale inspections are invited. Email with any questions. Please read the payment details. Don't bid and win and then come and inspect the car. If you win the auction the car is yours. Inspections prior to the end of the auction are welcome. The car is for sale locally so the auction might end early. Thanks for looking.
