Description of 1970 Ford Torino cobra

I have for sale a very rare 1970 429cj 4 speed Torino Cobra, one of 509 made with this eng/trans .It has NO ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, or THIRD MEMBER. It does have the original complete 9" axle housing & axles, and all factory original suspension intact, including the staggered shock spring plates and cross member. It has all original trim and glass other than the front grill. All body sheet metal is original as is the paint, so you see exactly what condition everything is in.

The Car will need all floor pans and trunk floor, I do have a trunk pan from anothercar that is workable. The frame rails look good as do the torque boxes, I do have rear frame rails still attached to the salvage trunk floor that comes with the car. Fenders, doors, and quarters repairable, as is the hood and deck-lid. All of the sheet-metal needed for this car seems available.

I bought this with the intent on restoring it, I just have a few too many projects at the moment. This is an original 429cj 4speed car as you can see in the Marty report. Very rare and highly desirable. This is one of those cars that you don't see it the car events, but is a very respected muscle car, could be a real head turner.

There are very few cars that you expect every restoration dollar back in return, and this is one of those, especially if you do a fair share of the work yourself, these are easily $50,000+cars according to Heming's, E-Bay, and Haggerty Value. If you enjoy restoration Like I do, you have a lot of room to put money in this restoration and still make a lot of money on resale.

This is a manual steering, manual drum brake, AM radio, Beast. Someone apparently ordered this for the fun part of driving a pure muscle car. This is a non shaker car as well, Personally I would add p/disc-brakes and a Shaker at least! I could live with the AM radio! Much more rare than any SS Chevelle, Nova, Malibu, or Camaro. Car shows are covered with Mustangs, and Corvettes. GTO's ... Not Torinos. Especially Big Block 4 speed Cobra's. Reserve is set at $6000 with a Buy it Now of $7500.Torino Cobras carry a $30000 to $40000 premium over a similar Torino GT basically because of the Vin. It costs no more to restore than any other muscle car and actually considerably cheaper than most, but gives you a hell of a head-start on finished value.

Fell free to send a message with any questions. Thanks JIM
