Below are common questions regarding the removable top:

How is the roof attached? Weighing approximately 55 pounds, the roof can be removed/installed in less than 2 minutes. It’s secured by two bolts in the front and two wing nuts in the rear. There is a metal header attached to the roof. On this metal header, there are two tinnerman nuts (mustang fender nut clips) - the two bolts go thru the mustang convertible sun visor bracket dowel pin guide hole and thread into the tinnerman nuts, these work well becasue they are easily replaced if they strip.

Can the roof leak? The fiberglass roof (up front) has a gasket that sits on the windshield stainless steel trim. The remainder of the top is lined with weather-stripping which will keep most of the water and wind noise out, however if the car is taken to a car wash, and the pressure washer is aimed at the roof to body lines, or the window to roof lines, some water will get in, just like any old Mustang.

Where can I buy a roof? These custom-made roofs are made specifically for the 1964-66 and 1967-68 and depends on your car's configuration. The one on this car is for a coupe to roadster conversion. The frame is reinforced and the roof is cut off and filled in with prefabricated metal filler panels. If you want more information please let me know. The price is about $3000 shipped. Note that is for the fiberglass roof only. The back window, drip rail and window trim is not included. Contact me for more information.

Can the trunk be opened with the top on? No. The trunk cannot be opened with the roof on, however the trunk can be accessed by simply unclipping the rearseat.

The car is available anytime for inspection and a test drive with proof of money. Please make arrangements before the auction ends. The closest airport is ECP (Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport). A couple videos are attached. Please feel free to call or text Jamie, 801-388-1292.
