Description of 1964 Ford Galaxie

This Galaxie XL coupe needs restoration but is a very nice car to start with. It has a Santa Monica dealership license frame and some lube stickers from Grass Valley. so I believe it has been in California most or probably all of its life. It also has the old black and yellow plates the came out in 1963. It has only 1 rust spot that I can see which was below the back window and covered by the vinyl top [I put a piece of metal tape there to keep water out]. It came with a 390 4 barrel V8. automatic. PS. PB. PW PS on drivers side. remote mirror. emergency brake light. and a vinyl top. The left hand door hinges are bent and should be replaced due to someone backing into something with the door open. The door closes. but not properly. There are no bubbles indicating rust perforation on the bottom of the quarters. The vinyl interior is amazingly intact for it's age but would need a thorough cleaning and a seam repaired on the drivers backrest. The vinyl is not as soft as new. however. Dash pad has a crack. Headliner would need replacement. Body has minor surface rust only except for the aforementioned spot below the back window. Top has surface rust. but is not perforated. It still has the vinyl top mouldings. I have not attempted to start it or crank it. This is about as solid and complete a restoration project as you will find anywhere. Low reserve. No bidders with less than 5 positive feedback. I will try to add trunk pics during the week. Clear California title on non-op. I welcome any questions! On Jan-22-15 at 12:03:00 PST. seller added the following information: I removed some items I had in the trunk to check the trunk floor and it is very good. Mostly the original yellow paint with some surface rust but no rust out. The original jack and lug wrench are present. I have the trunk key but not the ignition key. I wanted to post a picture of the trunk but I think I am already at the max for pictures.
