| 1949 Ford F-1 Pickup The vintage pickup truck you’ve always dreamed of is right here at Blue Marlin Motors USA and it’s this awesome 1949 Ford F-1. The restoration and build was completed on this truck about a year and a half ago. and since then. the truck has only travelled a couple hundred miles. What’s that mean for you? You’re buying a practically brand new 1949 truck with none of the extra costs and labors involved in building it! Looking for a cool driver that’ll turn heads and get attention wherever it goes? You want this truck. The blue paint job shines brightly in the sun. and the chrome. while not perfect. still polishes up well and looks great. A few minor pieces. such as the hood release in the grille. could stand to be replated if you wanted a perfect show truck. but as-is you could easily clean up at the local cruise in or car show for the truck department. and have a ball doing it. The wheels are 15 inch Cragar Soft 8s that are chrome. but the owner decided to custom paint the lip of each wheel in the same blue paint as the truck. resulting in a unique look that recalls the chrome hubcaps and steel wheels of days gone by. Under the hood is a roller lifter 350 Chevy with a factory hot cam. It puts out about 300 horsepower – just enough to be fun to drive but not so much that it can’t be daily driven and enjoyed. It’s mated to a Turbo 350 trans. and out back. the Ford 9 inch rear has 3. 41 gears that give this truck great manners both around town and on the highway. The interior is in excellent condition as well. The blue cloth/vinyl seats harken back to this truck’s original purpose: work. It might look great. it might be a hoot to drive. but these trucks are trucks. It doesn’t need a fancy leather interior to be a nice place to be. There are lap-belt seatbelts present. and a full instrument cluster with modern gauges with a vintage feel in the dashboard. There is no radio. but who needs music when you can listen to the 350 sing on the highway? The bed has new wood. and the rear bumper has a 2” hitch receiver in it as well. so you could pull a trailer with this truck should you so choose. It’s versatile. cool. and old school.
