Wow! It is always refreshing to see an "Old School-Hot Rod" done right with bright body colors, tightly sewn vertical interior pleats and period horsepower under the hood. This Forty steps back in time with period style and driving character while tastefully incorporating select modern conveniences...

Resting on a very thorough, complete and professional body-off restoration. Designed as a true 60's style Resto-Rod, the original California steel body is finished in a Bobco chrome yellow and includes superbly fit body panels, original factory trim, bumpers, door handles, hinge mirrors and lighting. Subtle upgrades include 12V Halogen headlamps, LED rear lighting w/center bumper 3rd brake lamp & period American Racing Mag wheels (14x6" front -15x8" Rear) and Radial tires (P175/70R14-P225/70R15)...

Only minor welding and drilling was performed to accommodate the front rear suspension alterations which includes factory 110" wheelbase, Ford 8" rear differential (308 ratio), dual parallel rear leaf springs, Ford rear drum brakes, Superbell 4" dropped I-Beam front axle, front mono-spring, split wishbones, factory 40' steering box and power assisted GM front Disc brakes...

Residing under the hood a is stout, smooth and very cool running stock bore 1948 Ford 239 cubic inch Flathead 59AB V-8 built by Dan Krehbeil equipped with "Original" polished aluminum "Eddie Meyer" dual two barrel hi-rise intake manifold (exhaust heated), original polished dual Stromberg carburetors (300cfm), Don Orrosco Eddie Meyer polished aluminum cylinder heads, Beehive oil filter, Mallory dual point distributor, Taylor 8mm plug wires and ceramic coated Fenton headers w/dual exhaust. Transferring the power is a Dan Krehbeil built 1948 Ford 3 speed column shift manual transmission...

Moving inside you will find the same level of attention to period detail, upgrades & professional quality. The stunning Tuck-N-Roll 1" vertical pleated interior was tediously sewn by Award Winning thread-master Tom Sewell including factory original flip back seat, rear package shelf, custom door panels, German square weave carpet 3 point seat belts and trunk trim. Other items include factory dash trim, Vintage GEN II Air Conditioning, "3 on the tree" shift, Ford script gauges and 12V ENOS wiring...

In closing, in an era of tempting modern power-trains, countless aftermarket goodies & body modifications, the original driving character and style of these machines are all to often, lost in the process. It is always refreshing to visit yesterday in True Old School 60's style... Solid and Kool!
